  1. D'uh that makes sense, thanks for simply stating the obvious, I'm just happy no seam splits on my copy.
  2. Apologies for re-asking something that I am sure that has already been discussed, but are these Guardians OST's being shipped without any shrink-wrap? Just received mine today in poly sleeve, but it definitely was not sealed. Thankfully no seam splits or bad damage to packaging, but wanted to make sure this is how everyone is receiving their copy... I got a Drax print.
  3. Finally got shipping confirmation on this today from Amazon. Let's hope it's well worth the wait, this album does not deserve half-ass treatment. It would be nice for DMB Management to get with the times on LP releases. Can't wait to spin Under the Table and Before These Crowded Streets back to back, easily, in my opinion, DMB's best albums.
  4. Sub Pop made an exception for me as well, since Amazon can't/won't send out replacement records. Kudos to Sub Pop for going above and beyond to make good this widespread error for everyone. I'm sure this can't be a cheap fix. So much for trying to "up" the deluxe packaging/variant game, although I must say Sub Pop really spared no expense on this
  5. Sounds like everyone who ordered through Amazon or Independent stores are SOL... from the sounds of the disclaimer,it doesn't sound like Sub Pop is going to send out replacement records to online retailers and independent mom & pop stores. Decisions. Decisions. I think I'll email Amazon to see if I get any different response.
  6. So kindly emailed Mondo today to ask when my GotG and Batman splatter would ship. I got a speedy response within the hour stating that they have began shipping process for Guardians and Batman (duh) and they were severely behind on fulfilling the abundance the pre-orders, and to please be patient I should be seeing a shipping notificaiton very soon within the next couple weeks, orders are being fulfilled as they were ordered. (I ordered my copy on one of the last days pre-orders were accepted) ..... fast forward a 3 hours, I get delivery confirmation for both. Coincidence? Or did my inquiry bump up my order to get shipped quicker?
  7. I think a lot of us are in the same boat with Amazon. At least we do have protection from Amazon to send back and get a full refund if Sub Pop fails to come through on replacements. With this being one of Sub Pop's biggest releases of the year(s), it will most certainly be interesting to see how they handle this. I'm kinda shocked they didn't learn of this problem before all the deluxe copies were distributed.
  8. As others have reported, my A/B is warped as well, C/D is slightly also, but definitely not as drastic. I ordered from Amazon. I will await some kind of statement from Sub Pop before I take action. It seems Amazon is either sold-out (somewhat likely) or pulled the deluxe from their site (more likely) because of complaints. I'd still love to own the variant of this release....hopefully Sub Pop makes good on all purchases, regardless of where purchased
  9. Good point, if our copy is warped and she doesn't open until Saturday, Subpop could be severely backlogged in returns/replacements.
  10. Just got my Deluxe vinyl in from Amazon, and where I am keeping it sealed for time being for the wife as part of Valentine's Day gift, I can confirm that the sticker on front of Special Deluxe Edition states Tricolor 100% Petrochemical Vinyl.
  11. I can't seem to find any of the previous releases on hottopic.com?? Search for Disney LP vinyl soundtrack and all that comes up is a bunch of Funko POP
  12. Anyone going to the Nashville JWIII show on Wednesday? Heading down there from Chicago early Wednesday morning, but the 7-8 hour drive is gonna cut it close for me with getting in line for a poster. If anyone was planning to get there early for a poster and could kindly scoop me one, I will gladly buy you a few beers or cocktails at the show and reimburse you for the poster. Appreciate any help...Cheers
  13. TMR just announced they will be releasing Benjamin Booker Live from TMR next Tuesday. This should be a great release, even more pumped that I will be able to physically pick it up from the actual TMR store on my first visit next week when we travel to see Jack III in Nashville. http://thirdmanstore.com/featured/benjamin-booker-live-at-third-man-records
  14. Just received my 2 copies today 0048 and 0049. They were packaged together, and I'm thankful for that, despite some dents and dings in the package itself, the vinyl's arrived minty fresh without a blemish on them. Happy and proud to own this. Whether you're a fan of the soundtrack or not, this will go down as one of Marvel's finest films.
  15. To any U.S. members still waiting for copies, I would be patient on this. Zavvi usually takes anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks for steelbook movies to arrive in US from dispatch date, and that's during normal shipping periods. Customs is likely catching up from the surplus shipping during the holidays. I've ordered plenty of steelbook Blu-rays from them, some arrive in 7 days, some arrive in 3-4 weeks. They will not respond to any lost package inquiry until a month has passed since dispatch date. Zavvi has a very good customer service, but sometimes you need to be persistent with them. They will usually ask for photo of damaged goods before sending replacement or refund
  16. More live Stripes can never be a bad thing, and there really isn't a release from this era, so I'm pretty pumped about this announcement. Bummer still no Blu-ray option on concert footbage, but I can't complain at all. The Bonnaroo Vault package set a new precedent for these releases, and this package is just as good, if not better than the Bonnaroo release when considered all that is included. Exclusive Rob Jones postcards and pin? Awesome. Glow in Dark silkscreen? Awesome. These are all throw-ins that die-hard Stripes and Third Man fans will eat up. This 7" sounds like it will be the best one we've had in awhile too. Unreleased B-side instrumental from Satan era? Yes please. I'm guessing the previous Bonnaroo vault subscription was their biggest by volume to date, and this is one helluva package to back that one up, reassuring new members to stay put and not cancel subscriptions.
  17. Just got my Bonnaroo Vault package. The gold postcard tribute for Ikey Owens is a very touching and classy move. TMR really outdid themselves with this entire package.
  18. I agree, and it's not even like Blu-rays cost that much more to mass produce anymore.... just kinda strange that Jack has stuck with DVD, aside from the older releases. I'd figure it would be easier to make a region free Blu-ray mass release anyways.
  19. Got shipping confirmation yesterday, I am in Chicago, USA. My first name starts with J, so it seems like they are really working to get all these out by Christmas. Unrelated Poll Question: Am I alone wishing that all these DVD concerts included with the Vault Packages were Blu-rays? IU mean for some of the older archive releases, it won't matter much, if at all... But I figured with Jack White being such a perfectionist, he would want an HD quality release of his most recent historic concerts ie. Bonnaroo. Just my 2 pennies. As for my prediction on next Vault package, I'm thinking possibly Whirlwind Heat from RSD, an outtakes album from "A Letter Home" with Neil Young, Devil's Night with Olivia Jean?? There's a lot to live up to after the last 3 releases....
  20. They still put on a great show, this past summer was a nice tour. They still tend to get repetitive and where Away From the World is pretty good, I believe Dave's best writing days are behind him. I hope I am wrong.
  21. As a old-time marching ant (hence the username) Couldn't have said it better myself.
  22. There is 363 other days to go into an independent record store and go through every crate they have looking for a hidden gem, sell your used media, talk with the employees ect. Laurie's has the right to do whatever they want on Black Friday or Record Store Day for that matter. This is considered one of the most popular record stores in Chicago. In April RSD, the line to get into the store at opening was close to 1000 deep. I have NO problem if they don't want to participate, but then the store shouldn't be recognized as a RSD supporter or vendor. Their RSD process has always been super smooth and very organized. I've never seen any shouting, fighting, bickering, claiming, ect. Assholes is the last type of person this store has to worry about. Granted, this holiday (RSD) has lost some of the true spirit that made this so special for all of us collectors to head to our favorite store and get some special released gems to add to our collection, but to throw all their normal customers under the bus just because they want to "take it easy" seems like a very lame excuse. It's not like I would try to report them to RSD or anything, thankfully there are other options in Chicago.
  23. Here is what my favorite record store just posted about their new RSDBF disclaimer: Laurie's Planet of Sound in Chicago IL As a faithful supporter and customer of this store year round, I feel completely taken for granted as a consumer. What really ticked me off was the comment about these Record Store Day holidays tending to discourage their "regular" customers. I guess the people that shop on RSD and otherwise the rest of the year at this store are chop liver.
