  1. What is Canada's #1 Best Seller in Music on Amazon? IKS Vinyl. Even if it doesn't pan out it should send a message: We can outsell Clapton, Tom Petty, fuckin' Zepplin, Guardians of the Galaxy (AWESOME soundtrack/ score), and Paul McCartney. Even Weird Al! We know Coheed is the shit, but that's some pretty strong message. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/bestsellers/music/ref=sr_bs_1
  2. I ordered from them around the same time and the record eventually came in about 3 weeks later, but there was no tracking or communication even after I asked them how long to expect it to take. I hope you get in touch with them and find out what the hold up is. All-in-all their packaging was really good, but everything else was kinda garbage about them (except the price!). I totally forgot about ordering from them, thanks for the reminder and good luck.
  3. Thanks Willy. It makes sense (in my mind). We'd been waiting and wanting for so long, that I am pissing my pants with excitement that it's finally happening. Now let us hope that the GA1 pressing that DIDN'T happen on RSD happens on Black Friday. If it does, I literally quit life because no year will top this year (until I am selected to tour with the band just because...maybe I'll be a merch guy or something?)
  4. That's my prediction. It's a month before tour, all the foreign Amazon sites got all premature-ejaculatory today, and tomorrow's a Tuesday.
  5. Me too Jesse. Me too. I just want the band preorder with extra bonuses and goodies, etc. Fun times, hopefully. Hang in there. I think it's going to happen tomorrow.
  6. I've actually had really great experiences with almost everywhere I have bought from big names (amazon, bestbuy, blah blah corporations) and many smaller places/ labels (FAT is awesome with fixing errors, District Lines packing and customer servie is good -not via emai, just call, King Roads packs well, Saddle Creek is good all around, Asian Man is pretty good at packing, great customer service). Even shopradiocast has never fucked me, once an "in stock" LP was holding up my order, but I was in no real rush. It all came in good shape. All the eBay/ Discogs sellers have been great (minus the occasional scammer). Every distro or label I have listed here, I would have no qualms about recommending. however, the easiest way to ensure quality is to go to your local indie store to pick up new releases (where you have them- I don't know what it's like to be without one, but I feel for you if you know that feeling).
  7. James is famous (he is credited to the links) http://modern-vinyl.com/2014/08/03/could-in-keeping-secrets-be-getting-repressed/
  8. What is everyone's HOPES for this? That is: one version; 4 color variants; different weights; different artwork, etc. I don't think the Champ will mind if we highjack his thread to discuss our DREAMS for this release. How about me you ask? I want ONE variant, remastered, on heavyweight vinyl, gatefold sleeve (because wtf is up with NOT gatefold-ing it?), and maybe a little bonus 7" or something (à la SSTB 7") with demos (maybe some of the PLATINUM VIP Cassette on vinyl).
  9. I hope so too. I hate seeing any record cost more than $100. It's stupid. however, if they don't KEEP this press in stock, the same thing will happen as did with SSTB. All versions will cost between $80-$150 or more...so stupid. But when you WANT (like I did/ do) you'll pay.
  10. It's all good. I have my 1st press now. And soon I will have more! I just hope it's a remaster. If not, I don't care. I'll own every variant of the second press. LOL. I still have no regrets. I knew it would happen. But JUST in case it didn't I wanted to go ahead and grab it.
  11. I just want everyone to remember what I promised on my WTB thread: Here ya go. As promised fate is sticking its cruel dick in my arse. Either way I'm preordering too. Thanks CHAMP!
  12. Oh bummer. Well, I hope your experiences with the VA improve. More importantly, here's to hoping the USPS gets there shit together or FINALLY DOES go bankrupt and close. Because they suck. Balls. If only UPS or FedEx would come to my house, I'd be set.
  13. I have my moments, but mostly I work here because I am a veteran and they pay decent. I try my best to be awesome to every other vet I talk to. I swear, I've bummed more smokes in the 2 years I've worked here than the whole time I was in the service. yes, the VA can suck big balls at times, but for the most part everyone in CT is lucky to have the VA that we do. Other places not so much.
  14. Yeah I know. I'm just kidding anyway. I do know we paid 120 for one the size of a reg curbside mailbox, but I doubt I ever ACTUALLY paid her anything when I was 18 or 19. Also I second/ third the Jersey City one, too. It's a vacuous hole. I've had records come south from Albany to Jersey City, then North to CT. It's like having a layover in Anchorage before reaching your final destination in Mexico City. This is how bad the USPS is in general: I work for the VA (veteran's affairs) and when we ship files or whatever else, we use UPS, EVEN THOUGH there is a postal service funded by the same entity (the US government/ taxpayers/ you). So, we spend tax dollars on a private corporation that could easily be replaced by a federal organization, but isn't because it is so awful.
  15. I think it varies by location and box size, but when I was younger my mom and I shared one for $120 a year. It was pretty convenient, and after reading gutzonborglum's post I think I may get one again.
