  1. still really need to pick this up, maybe i can get someone to grab it for me for christmas
  2. very pleased with the package, so cool that the lyrics are set out like a development proposal, really does well to continue the feel of the album
  3. i actually like the look of the lyrics thing. Kinda goes with the development theme and feels a bit more personal and DIY even if it isnt
  4. mine started with Man And Wife, The Former (Financial Planning) in Australia. Guess it was imported. I only ever found one copy (mine) so i dont think it actually got a local release
  5. awesome, didnt really expect anything different. Saddle creek dont mess around with their vinyl. They are just really consistent. Obviously im not alone with this view
  6. alexis also released a 7" earlier this month for the Australian tour. Limited to 2000 and has a midnight oil cover(the dead heart) and the saint cover (Im stranded). Its pretty good, i believe there is going to be a digital release at some point
  7. 99% rather costly for aussie labels to press vinyl and there arent too many good stores around
  8. I think they're just being smart about the whole thing, yeah maybe they announced a number originally but the music shouldn't be about the number of copies made it should be about the music. Maybe when they first announced it the number was low, and they realized a bunch more people would like to hear the album, so they're making more available. I'm sure they're just being smart financially about it seeing as they probably want to make a little bit of money off the album that they created they didn't want the number to be too high because then they'd b sitting on a pile of records no one will buy, or make the number too low and then miss out on the chance to sell just enough records to all of their fans. i get it, and i think its awesome for them. I have actually spent a bit of time with kevin devine on his trips to Australia as i worked for the company that tours him and he is a great guy, so i love to see him succeed. I just think that they should have added another colour or something, or never given a number then there wouldnt be a problem. I was grumpy the other day about something else so i got more riled up about it then i should have. But I still think that if they had this intention they should never have said 250. Im stoked for them about the sales though, dont get me wrong about that.
  9. i would be happy for them to press 10,000 in one colour and i still would have bought it. I just think if you are not sure how many you are going to press never give a number for the pressing. Rather than saying 250 then adding another 100. Im stoked for them that they are selling so many Also im sure if an extra 100 or 200 of the most limited colours of TDAG were announced after it sold out people would be making jokes about jesse swimming in money
  10. It also means that more people get to (potentially) hear their music on vinyl. So...there's that. and that wouldnt happen if they pressed an extra 200 or so on another colour? As i said im not overly fussed and usually chose colour based on what looks the best rather than how limited it is. I just think it is poor practice to say out of 250 and then jack it up after it has sold out. The same way they are considering making more book bundles
  11. according to facebook they are considering making the extra 100 red as well so that would increase the number pressed. Kinda annoying really. They said it was to make sure that all preorders are the one colour and cant be bought any other way. But it means for those who managed to snag copies initially now have a less limited copy. Im not overly fussed, but i do i think it just suggests that whoever is planning it isnt that experiences with vinyl. Shouldnt really say its limited to x number then when it sells out just make more that are indistinguishable from the first bunch
  12. saw that, tempted to enter but thought it might be a bit mean of me to try and win a second test from you
  13. red is for the webstore and yellow is for independent retailers. pressing into for red is 250 i believe
  14. i believe the yellow is for independent retailers only and preorder is red
  15. i love that above video. I bought the bundle, pretty stoked. I love both kdev and manchester orchestra so it will be a nice thing to own and it doesnt cost too much.
  16. There will be. I just have to work out what it will be and when it will happen... i very much enjoy having that test pressing
  17. RJ my fiances mum makes these awesome 3D picture things which she frames and she is going to make me a devil and god one but im struggling to find a good quality large image of the album cover. Any chance you can send me one? I understand if you cant but i thought you might be the best option
  18. thank you, i was having trouble actually accessing the burnt toast site last time i tried but this direct link works. Thanks again
  19. Why would they repress an album that's still readily available? well when i have money and look for it i always struggle to find it, pretty sure someone else said the same thing earlier. If you can point me to a copy that would be useful
  20. i want a repress of brother sister, only one i dont have
  21. so keen for this. Have wanted to pick it up for ages but cant afford to pay ebay prices
  22. I saw him last year and he played a few songs from this album. From memory one was mellow but another was quirky and upbeat (as many of his songs are) and was about Levi johnston (Palin's kids boyfriend). Both were quite good
