  1. hello i'm hoping to find someone to swap tapes\cds with every so often, maybe every 6 or 9 or 12 months. i'm into a bit of everything (especially indie, punk, emo, alt-country) but happy to explore anything good. i'm a bit old and lost track of recent stuff, which is one of the reasons i'd like to do some trades, so expect to receive a tape with lots of 90s stuff on it. already made one which has some of the following on it... higuma, whiskeytown, plaids, archers of loaf, jones very, swervedriver, wooden shjips, seam, universal order of armageddon, dylan golden aycock drop me a PM if you are interested. thanks!!!
  2. colin from the hated posts on collective zine occasionally. he posted this a couple of months back.... OK, it's looking like a May 2012 release for a huge fuck-off boxset and a simple 2-cd set -- the 2-cd is planned to be affordable, $20 or so. Negotiating paperwork now (this is primarily a reissue label that has worked with artists who have been absurdly exploited by other record companies in the past, so they do everything very correctly -- which is fine by me) and I will tell y'all who it is when things are signed. (Nobody has guessed the label yet.)
  3. i have the ann beretta/newtown grunts 7" but in a different sleeve. it looks like a photocopied picture of a band and the band names coloured in with yellow pen. says on the back #4/50. i wouldve got this from tempest sometime after it was released straight from rich.
  4. http://sncl.collective-zine.co.uk/index.php sncl is great. good variety and prices and gets a lot of stuff other euro distros dont have.
  5. i had this, it sounded like a buzzing and a bird chirping coming through the speakers. tried the same stuff, moving it record player and stereo to the other side of the house, changing cables etc. ended up buying a £10 preamp to replace the expensive preamp i had and it fixed it.
  6. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/pitmanfan/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 some punk, emo, indie, other stuff.....including the measure sa LP, gunmoll/fifth hour hero LP and other stuff.

  10. strange place. went there last week and it had one box of 7" records and a few on the wall behind a bar. didnt look like a record shop to me.
  11. Was this 7" a European press? or just more copies from Sound Fiction? hmmmnnn......isnt sound fiction a european label?
  12. for any europeans. the 7" is still available at sncl http://sncl.collective-zine.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1709&osCsid=cceab5f7d880d6cb140727bdf004c011
  13. oh yeah, if anyone wants to sell me elevator vinyl aswell i'd be very happy.
  14. the rick white albums pop up on ebay quite often i've noticed. i can cdr/upload them for you if you like, if you dont want to wait. also got a couple of pretty rare erics trip sevens that i wouldnt get rid of but can tape aswell if you dont have them (split with sloan, julie and the porthole)
  15. i wouldnt sell any of my annalise stuff as they are amazing. just wanted to say though that this Annalise/ Three Minute Movie - Split - Snuffy Smile - Black - Japan - 7” is a great record. have you tried emailing aston at boss tuneage. bet he's got some of that stuff.
  16. try posting on collective-zine. as both these bands were from the UK and the records were released by UK labels, you might get a better response on a UK message board.
  17. saw frankie stubbs last night. he played 4 or 5 acoustic songs in between talking for 45 mins and then was joined by duncan from snuff to play some songs as a band. i've seen leatherface tonnes of times over the last almost 20 years or so and i've never seen them/frankie that good. amazing. everyone should check this band out!!!!
  18. for DIY stuff http://www.collective-zine.co.uk/cboard/viewforum.php?id=7
