Didn't know people even did that, good idea. My Girlfriend got a record in the mail today and one of the inner sleeves was split (a pictured sleeve).i got my doooomed order in today, dude ships outside of the cover to avoid seam splits without asking. like the cut of his jib....

Finally got shipping confirmation on my Brothers of the Sonic Cloth second pressing! Glad I could scoop it up before it unavailable. They are still available, but only 600 in this pressing.

A bunch of dudes used to meet at Billy Rays neighborhood dive on mlk on Sundays, get wayyysted and watch wrestling. I think it is getting a revival soon?I've never heard of this, but it sounds hilarious. Nah, this was just one of my first usernames on here and I got banned for spamming the board with wrestling .gifs and having a feud over 3 threads with my former tag team partner Hulk Hogan.
-
LOL. Are you a part of the wrestling church in Portland?Damn right, brotherrrrr.
-
Who cares? Does the record play the music you like? Yes:buy it No:leave it on the shelf.
-
So anyone got an opinion on the best site for upcoming releases? Metacritic etc....

Scored this reissue. Had no idea it was going to be colored wax. Nice surprise!

Back in the day all the death wish kids knew what was what. Thanks though Cookie.

Got it this morning. Fucking stoked!Electric Wizard S/T reissue...Amazon link...3 left (there was 8 last night when I ordered):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000INAWT8/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Although I saw a Earth primitive and deadly double lp limited to 1000 on colored wax I really wanted.
So I thought this EW S/T reissue was on black? Mines purple! Nice surprise.

sorry the definition of punk isnt confined to black flag and skrewdriver or something, but it's definitely the vibes a lot of those bands give off, pop punk, indie punk, mall punk, folk punk, emo whatever you want happy now?
Not one of those bands is punk. Skrewdriver? Really? Some say their first record, but they clearly never held the same values.

Had this when I was a kid. lOL -

There was a time that bootlegs, mostly live were out of a love for a band,to spread their music, release something rare and unheard and not about making a facsimile of something the band put out just to make a buck. Bootlegs of alternate takes of songs are fairly rare, and live performances that would never be released are what I am really refering to. I still have a Deadbolt show that our sound guy recorded straight through the board that's great, and I am still consider doing something with it. Some people I know are opening a pressing plant soon and I may talk to them about making a small run just for kicks.Right on. My only bootleg is Led Zeppelin Live on Blueberry Hill, because it will never see an official release and I personally think that bootlegs from the 60s, 70s and 80s are very cool.

Purposefully short supply is more like it.Supply and demand.

What a piece of shit. Set up some fake ebay accounts then bid every listing through the roof so no one will buy any of them.I'd like to get Chris from BullMoose's thoughts on this - http://www.ebay.com/sch/alicia122011/m.html?item=201325214327&rmvSB=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562

The only record I am excited about is the Willie Nelson Teatro double lp, I really hope it sounds good, and they do it the justice it deserves, the cd is great but it's not a record.

A lot of people like crates, I think they are exceptionally hard on covers. -
Yeah, I don't get why a lot of metal is so damned over priced.I think collecting stoner/doom is the worst. I buy a blue note jazz record its 13 bucks, i buy dopelord record its 33. Ugh

Love me some Who. Used to have that Maximum R&B boot. Lo e to see pictures of your bootleg Who stuff.I collect a lot of the 70s prog rock live releases on the TAKRL, TQM and Wizardo labels. Bands like Genesis, The Who, ELP and many others were released in the mid/70s. Some were nice FM broadcasts or soundboards, others were iffy recordings from a tape recorder shoved under a theater seat while the taper was munching popcorn. Definitely a labor of love, these items!

No shit dude! I just ordered the second pressing of BOTSC, and then 2nd Ave throws up that Electric Wizard S/T reissue! Hope there's some left tomorrow when I get some cash. Collecting is worse than a heroin addiction.Stuff needs to stop coming out for like...2 weeks so I can catch my breath! Switching jobs/not getting paid for a week has depleted my fun spending funds. Plus I owed money this year for taxes. (I stupidly didn't fill out my w4 correctly after getting married.)

I buy boots that are live performances, or unreleased versions of songs. I would never buy a bootleg of a full released album, or just a compilation of readily available material. That would be a dis-service to a band you are trying to support.
