  1. Ive never even heard this band but it seems like if you dont like just dont buy it. but when the singer of said band acts like a cunt, it's more fun to be vocal about one's distaste.
  2. yeah, i'd really like one of these, pretty bummed I missed the shows near here.
  3. Good Records is your best bet, easily the best Dallas has to offer. Forever Young is pretty cool, plan to spend an entire day there to look through everything. It can be pretty hit or miss though. Bill's is ok, but seems like a garage sale, old stuff that isn't in very good condition. in conclusion, Dallas is pretty whatever for records. just make an hour and a half detour and go to Austin if you really want to find stuff.
  4. The story his dad told in the beginning of the movie said "70 times 7" soldiers, which would be 490, but then the goblin at the end said "Here they are, 70 times 70," which is 4900. So I dunno if that was done on purpose or not. they said "70 x 70" both times. also, this movie was meh at best, could have used some serious fat trimming.
  5. absolutepunk isn't going to post vinyl news on the front news page. we talked about it the vinyl thread there, and the people who were interested ordered but i'm afraid that's about all the publicity you'll get on that site. i could be wrong though.
  6. www.myspace.com/pygmylush has one song that's been up a while. i've listened to the record about half-way through, and most of it is similar in style to the song that's there.
  7. someone pays you money, send out the record. that should be your priority. it really shouldn't be that difficult. if it is, don't offer to make the sale in the first place.
  8. dang, i'd for sure sell this son of a gun. significantly less than $70 would more than suffice.
  9. agreed, great band and solid album. sucks that they would have to cut a song though, strangers is one of my favorites.
  10. props to them pressing this so much. you can't blame them if people are retarded enough to keep buying.
  11. yeah, no way would i vote for something i didn't want. and i don't necessarily think you should be expected to, that's the risk that was taken allowing "normal" people to buy a share and vote. it's just difficult to see the bigger picture sometimes, i understand.
  12. like i said, i'd like to be proven wrong, and i'm certainly not hoping anyone fails here. i'm just glad i didn't invest, and remain baffled by the top choices.
  13. sorry, maybe i should have just put: "rather than looking long term at what would sell well and raise the profile of the label for future pressings."
  14. no, and honestly i'm blown away by this list. especially the top 4(or 5 i guess). please, someone help me out if i'm confused, but why (at the very least for the first record pressed) would you not want to press something that will fully sell out easily so that the co-op has a chance to thrive. down the road press fanboy stuff. again, maybe i'm misguided, but if this is a business, it's crazy to me to press something there would be minimal interest in. love to be proven wrong though.
  15. lol, green album was terrible. i guess it gets pity points b/c maladroit and make believe were even worse.
