They sent me another 'pee tape'. I haven't gotten a chance to check it yet.
Did they ask you to ship your original purchase back?

My copy has the same issue. They are already sending a replacement - hopefully it's not on every one. Did they learn nothing from the (A) Senile Animal debacle?
I honestly think they didn’t learn a thing from the Melvins debacle! I haven’t heard anyone claim their copy is solid.

Ok, so I’m wondering if Ipecac is guilty of not listening to their test presses again, or could the locked groove that’s happening on the second track, “Animal Espionage” be intentional? It’s such a tight loop, it seems like it was on purpose?

do you want this to become the new normal for vinyl? because this take is how it becomes the new normal. im not arguing against the existence of NFTs (if someone wants to buy them, go for it) but im definitely arguing against having to buy a $62 record because its packaged with an NFT. the day that it would cost me over $300 to order 5 new records is the day i stop buying music entirely. a couple other points worth considering...
1. this is being done by revolver magazine, who has been around for about two decades, but its only in the last few years they have been pushing their way into selling records, merch, etc. and it looks like they only put out 4 issues a year now. dunno about you, but im not really interested in propping up a business that's in an industry that is slowly circling the drain by buying $62 records that would cost $25-30 (ill grant you, maybe $35) if literally anybody else had pressed it.
2. trustkill and revolver have cross-posted promoting this release but there's complete silence from the band themselves which tells me everything i need to know about how they feel about this release. not surprising considering their past with trustkill, but still a confirmation.
Do I want this to be the new normal? No, I don’t. Do I want to own “This Is Love, This Is Murderous” on vinyl? Yes, I do.
I feel fortunate enough to be able to buy this record without causing me any financial grief. I understand that not everybody is in that situation, but for me, I’m buying the record.
I also know, that once this vinyl is sold out it will never be worth less than $62.I started this thread by saying that it came with “bad news”.
All of your points are very valid.

So stoked to see this thread title. Now, I have been left disappointed.
It’s sucks for sure, but by the time these records are pressed, I will have long forgotten about that $62 and will be plenty excited to own the album.

Revolver is selling Bleeding Through’s “This Is Love, This Is Murderous”. Only 530 copies.
Good news is, this is the first ever vinyl pressing. Bad news is, they made it more expensive by bundling every copy with a NFT.
$62.00 after shipping for me. (USA resident)

Drastic Plastic is giving us a reissue.
/500 Swamp Green vinyl.
Still just a single LP though unfortunately. BUT it’s not Plain Records, so that’s something positive.

Looking for some help from the board because it’s been SO long since I’ve dealt with a shitty seller. I bought a record on discogs and received the wrong record. I have transcripts with the seller because I assumed it was an honest mistake, and when I finally asked for a refund they stopped responding. I opened a PayPal case and they just closed it because the seller provided the tracking info saying I received a package essentially. I’m not seeing an option to reopen this case. Again, it’s been a long time so looking for any and all help here. Thank you 🙏🏼
I think you can literally call PayPal and talk to a person. I think I remember doing that.

Thank you for this. I had never heard of them before, but I liked the cover art enough to check out the band. I liked the band enough to preorder this new album. I’m excited to dive in.

Had to see it with my own eyes... This is really starting to get out of hand!
If someone wants to spend $500 on a reissue, then let ‘em. I don’t think anyone will pull the trigger on that deal.

But they also are saying they have a color variant of the new Orville Peck album, which simply is NOT true, so take the above info with a grain of salt.

These guys canceled my order just now without any explanation. I assumed it was because they oversold, but the preorder is still up.
I reordered again to see what happens. -

Did the purple and gold sell out too?
Looks like it. That was a fast 10,000 copies.
-
Looks like the Spotify variant is the first one to sell out.

Apparently, this is the same as the one from Target. HHV is just the exclusive retailer in Germany.
Thank you, I canceled my order.

Wow. I think I paid $90 for this LP about 12 years ago. It’s a 10 for sure.
