  1. for the olive color they probably mixed a little black with the green...i dunno
  2. With a white with red splatter you would probably end up with some pink parts as they mix together.....
  3. Mixing colors is always unpredictable...you tell the plant what you want and you take what they give you Simplicity will be a more reliable option....
  4. I hadn't thought about some of these. You guys are giving me food for thought....
  5. like a red splatter in clear? and I do like classic black too...
  6. Okay...Most of you know I'm pressing Most Precious Blood's Merciless. I'm doing two colors for the vinyl. What do you think would look best? White, Clear, black/green splatter, or something else. I didn't want to do a solid green cause I'm afraid it won't match.... Let me know what you think...I have to fax my papers in a day or two Grant Bitter Melody Records
  7. Hey, I found this at OMGposters and thought it was pretty cool...because..well Pat Robertson sucks. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=39865256 Goes to a good cause too.
  8. Thanks to Peta everyone will get a music DVD and a sticker with their order of MPB's Merciless. I think it's pretty awesome of them to do this and support tiny DIY endeavors, no matter how you feel on the subject of vegetarianism.
  9. The mastering guy should be cutting the lacquer this week. The art is sent and approved, so I should have the covers and inserts in a couple weeks. I will get a reference lacquer to approve and then they will send the other lacquer to the plant to make the plates.
  10. It will be the uncensored nasty rotting corpse like I posted at the top. I decided to go with a matte UV finish for the cover to really show the grim picture. I think a glossy cover would go against the cover's nature.
  11. Don't worry Yu. I'll have you covered. Thanks for the compliment.
  12. Oh god. That is why I was afraid to get a big one. I like the 2x2's. But you definitely have to make sure the solid piece is the horizontal shelf. I even added 4 additional L brackets to each shelf to make sure they wouldn't collapse.
  13. Yeah, they are still around. They all have other jobs and careers, their new album will be coming out soon on trustkill.
  14. My label Bitter Melody is in production on the last Most Precious Blood record "Merciless". It is being mastered and art is ready for print, so it shouldn't be too long. I am really excited about this and I hope a lot of you will be too.
  15. Thanks guys. I will definitely keep you guys on VC in the loop. I kept waiting on someone to press this and after 12 years of collecting I decided to go into production and do it myself. Scott-I tried to get the new album first. Trustkill will be handling the vinyl for the new one. It is slated to come out this winter, but no specific date yet. I hope it happens, I liked the new song they played on Issue Oriented.
  16. 150 hand numbered on white and 350 on clear is the plan right now....but things could change. I wanted to do a green but I was afraid it wouldn't match and look weird, and they won't do a black green splatter for a 500 piece order. The cover is going to have a nice UV matte finish to really show the grim art.
  17. Hey guys.... I know we all have different tastes on this board. This is a band that I have loved in one form or another for 12 years. Indecision was one of those bands that got me into a lot of the music and things I love today...so it is an honor to press Most Precious Blood's Merciless. This is a total labor of love and this will be done right. I have total respect for everyone who is running small labels and releasing things they love. Thanks...I hope I can count on your support. It is being mastered as of this week and art is ready to go to print. I will keep everyone updated at each step. Become a fan on facebook or if you can follow me on twitter (www.twitter.com/bittermelodyrec) and read my facebook posts that way. Ordering will begin when records are in hand.
  18. How soon is too soon? You don't want people to not care when it finally comes out. When have you found is the best time to announce a release: when you have it in hand, when it's being mastered and getting ready to go to the plant, etc???
  19. I've got an original but I'll still probably buy both.
  20. Will buy. I'm assuming epitaph will sell this direct through Kings Road merch....
  21. they will. several probably. I heard they may do a full color art print.
  22. I wish they would make a sticky too. I understand the comment about researching on your own, but research on this topic will only provide you with so much information. Sorry if it bugs you guys and maybe none of you asked anyone anything before you licensed something, but I have gotten a ton more useful information from you guys responding to my questions than my googling. I am in the process of putting out my first LP and even with research and asking people I still have questions that pop up that I have to find an answer too. Thanks so much to those of you that have helped answer my questions. I hope to have my artwork by the end of the week and get the music to Dave at Lucky soon.
