  3. Hey guys...I just got everything finalized and I will be talking with lucky lacquers on monday. I will make my announcement about the release soon. It will be a press of 500 and at least 2 colors and a couple other surprises are in store. I am very excited about this. NYC hardcore fans take note. Bitter Melody records is on facebook and twitter. I will keep VC in the loop for sure.
  4. Damn it. I need my money. And they are gonna take some.
  5. hey Zac- About how much did it cost to ship your records from Rainbo to TN? I will be doing 500 and shipping to NC.
  6. yeah I am licensing something. I'd rather not say what just yet due to the fact that I have not paid yet and if for some reason this doesn't happen I won't feel as bad as I would if I had went around boasting about it. Once I figure this part out and my contract goes through I will definitely provide more details. I really appreciate the help you guys have been giving me with my questions. Thanks guys.
  7. yeah. I'm pretty sure the image should be a high enough resolution. The label said they can do it if I pay for it. I am going to ask how much it will cost.
  8. OK...If I get art formatted for a cd, how hard would it be to change this to LP art. The front image should be the same proportions right? And the back would need to be cropped on the LP opening side and the side bar of the cd could stay as the side bar of the lp, right? I have minimal design experience but have plenty of friends who could navigate the programs that would be needed, but I don't want to take up too much of their time. Thanks...
  9. ok....I'm still waiting on my Rainbo price quote
  10. Okay. I am price checking a lot of things. So far it seems cheaper to do a United package deal as opposed to mastering one place, pressing at another, and sleeves at another. It seems much more sensible to do it all one place than to be dealing with 3. Does anyone have specific problems with united? Their lp sleeves are the same specs (20 pt board, 4 mm spine). If someone knows of a certain problem please let me know. Imprint seems like a cool place....Is the shipping on 500 sleeves very high?
  11. Does anyone know how many minutes will fit on a 12" record at 33 and 45?
  12. okay its 1310 for 500 randomly mixed colored vinyl from united and imprint is 575 for 500 lp jackets.....plus shipping on both... united has a special for 1999 that is mixed color vinyl 500 plus jackets and shrinkwrapped and that includes shipping Has anyone gotten their jackets pressed at united? it says they use 20 pt board stock with 4mm spine.
  13. Hey. I will be pressing 500 records soon and would like to know what everyone else has used before and the cheapest routes to go. The package deals probably don't save you any money but they are tempting. I'm looking at Pirates Press and United... I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the previous ones.... Bitter Melody records is a go!
  14. bump......still looking for some indecision
  15. Does that mean you don't like any of those names ..... and I'm not going to say just yet what I'm trying to license until I'm a little further along. It is a hardcore record though.
  16. I'm gonna try to license something soon, but I need to lock in a label name. What do you guys think of these?
  17. i bought this from revhq a few weeks ago and it is here in my stack of "listen to next" stuff
  18. "lunchbox in charlotte - one of the best in the country"- Agree and they put on awesome shows There is also Manifest in charlotte which kinda sucks and in Asheville there is Static Age (punk and they have shows) and Harvest (mostly indie and a few shows)
