  1. The Sheath is great! They forgot about my order for quite awhile. I contacted them and they responded and sorted it all out. PLUS they through in a free record for my patience and understanding. Good people.
  2. I just got the new CYLS Sampler #4. The first song I thought to myself "This sounds like Hey Mercedes?" From - Count Your Lucky Stars website: "Let’s get to it! First, please give a warm welcome to Certain People I Know! If you don’t already know this band, perhaps you are familiar with their previous works, which include Braid, Hey Mercedes, The City on Film, and The Bomb. If bands were a linear path, this band picks up where Hey Mercedes left off, while still bringing their own sound to the table. Lets face it, any band fronted by the legendary Bob Nanna is amazing, and this is no exception. The rest of the band is rounded out by equally stellar musicians Damon Atkinson, Jeff Dean, Lauren LoPiccolo, and Matt Schuessler. We will be releasing their self-titled LP on CD & LP this Spring, and it will absolutely blow you away. In the meantime, you can head over to our Facebook, click on the Free Downloads section, “like” our page, and download the new CYLS Sampler #4, to get the new track from Certain People I Know (called Make It Up) , as well as a bunch of awesome tunes from our other Count Your Lucky Stars bands!" Excited for this!!
  3. I wish I had known that the test press was pink also. Bought it assuming it was black. Does anyone want mine? Annoyed I'll have two pink copies of this. Just bummed I wasn't fully educated on my purchase is all. Willing to sell or trade.
  4. Get it! So good. My favorite album I picked up in 2011.
  5. Insound is showing Beggars as still available. http://www.insound.com/Beggars-LP-Thrice/P/INS78112/
  6. So, on a side note, both Thrice releases artwork could change. Im still trying to get the CD artwork for Artist and Vheissu. Original CD artwork would be awesome! Especially for Artist!
  7. Is there a thread dedicated to 180 gram talk? Should we start one? Again, I just like the added thickness and weight to help prevent any warping issues. I know a player can handle a bit of a wave. But it is a bummer when you get a record that you love and spent good money on and it is warped. It's even worse if you pre ordered said record and it sold out during pre order. Now you have an OOP warped record = wall art? Again I'm not debating sound but any chance of my vinyl being in better condition when new or lasting over time I'm all for that.
  8. Oh Man! This got me to go to the Fat store. Limp self titled cam out 10 years ago! Wow. I should finally pick this up on vinyl. High School all over again on my speakers.
  9. were referring to having that as an OPTION, not the ONLY option. THIS!
  10. Actually my first night using my new computer. Not used to the keyboard and I thought I went through with the spelling and all. LOL Good burn though. That doesn't bother me. I haven't had an English class since 2002. Time to go back to school I guess.
  11. PS. I am not new to vinyl. I owned a record store in 2003 - 2005. Just because my login was created last year doesn't mean I am new BTW. So You claim you have been collecting for almost a decade. Well I guess so have I? Big deal? No. Some people have been collective 3 times longer than both of us. Yes experience does usually come with knowledge. But also with time and experience people do learn and change some original truths they held. Your truth is 180 gram is pointless. Yet you agree on warping. And Like I said that's my only reason why I like and prefer it. And If you are spending thousand getting records pressed why not have 100 or even 50 on 180 gram for people like me? Its your business and you don't have to I know. But its interesting if you agree with a possibly better condition of the vinyl then why be so stubborn on not doing it? Thats my head scratcher. Again. I will continue to support Broken Circle release regardless of gram weight. As the quality music put out are great. My only very small wish is that silly 180 gram wish. Again no attitude intended. Just my preference and opinion.
  12. Like I said. Warping is why I want it. I like your releases. But mine are wavy. I would gladly pay you $5 more for each covering your cost if there was a 180 gram option for people like me. Again if there really was a small sound difference I doubt most people could even hear it with the speakers, receiver and turntable they have. I just don't like dropping money on something that is brand new and damaged. I have 3 Moving Mountains records all wavy. My thrice Major and Minor same thing. My Zao records other than blood and fire. I know its hard to get a record perfectly straight in processing. But I have had better luck of getting a nice straight record with 180 gram. So with all this. I think we do agree. If you change your mind on pressing 180 gram I would buy all your Zao releases on that! PS . Keep pressing good records! Also Hands is by far my favorite release of the past year. I got the black from you. Thanks!
  13. I just prefer black. Its just a preference. 180 gram just because I have had much much better luck of my vinyl not being warped or any wave. Also having a heavy record helps keeping the record flat on the platter? You cant say you disagree that weight on a record helps keep the record flat on the platter. Put pressure don't in the center and you notice the side flatten out. Wouldn't that added weight in theory be better? Better sounding... I don't know. I don't have the best speakers or player to probably even notice that even if it were marginal. As a lover of Broken Circles your response kinda sucks. As I just received an order from you and my Zao self tiled has a wave in it. Maybe you should reconsider your stance on 180 gram? Possibly? Its not bad enough to go through the hassle of returning it or making a stink. My Liberate has the same thing. Fortunately my favorite which is Blood and Fire is perfectly straight.
  14. I want this album but not willing to spend the current full retail or really want those picture discs. I guess we can only hope for a more "basic" release to come.
  15. Were Snow Capped Romance or Rest Inside The Flames pressed? All information is appreciated.
  16. I would buy a repress of this even though I already have an original. My cover is a bit messed up and would like it if it were pressed on 180 gram black! Although I want all my vinyl to be 180 gram black.
  17. Heck yes!!!! Thanks for the heads up! This is why I love this board!
  18. Does anyone have a copy of this they would like to sell me? Thanks.
  19. I didn't see this on here so I thought I'd share for anyone interested. Limited to only 250 on Black. http://new.merchnow.com/products/136494
  20. Bummer about the artwork. I think it would have looked really great. You can always have anyone blow up an original cd cover and enhance on computer. I'm sure it's not that difficult. Please do 180 gram if you can or have a choice. It sucks that these great albums are coming out and get damaged so easily. I think 180 gram helps with that issue. Just my thoughts. I'll buy regardless. Anyone else have fingers crossed for a Thrice Box Set? I wish The Alchemy Index would come out on 12". The 10" I never seem to play. I think I've only played it twice.
  21. Picked up Calendar Days. Super fast shipping! The only album I ever got into so I am happy to finally have this. Shipping was expensive but whatever.
  22. YES!!!! THANK YOU TRAVIS! I will finally have this on vinyl! I bought one about two months ago but returned it because it was warped. Did I miss if you said if this will be on 180 gram or not?
