I have Blood Mountain on Yellow/Red, and I have a sealed (well, slit at the side just to check the colour) copy of it on 180g black, and I have a white one that I have never listened to. I also have a sealed copy of Leviathan that I picked up at a show awhile back. I've been hoping that one day I could trade these for something I really need, or of course sell them to buy more vinyl. haha.

Any fans here? For those that don't know, City & Colour is an acoustic side project of Alexisonfire singer/guitarist, Dallas Green. I would love for Sometimes to be pressed on vinyl. Hopefully they'll do the new album on vinyl in February.

You were definitely right. My Moneen album came today, it looks amazing. I absolutely love it. And they gave me a bunch of free awesome posters.

Yeah, there are like two good songs on the newest record and the rest is just awful. The only listenable songs for me on the new album are the first two and the last two. This Ain't A Scene sounds like a Backstreet Boys song...

I am going to order Minus The Bear - Highly Refined Pirates, but am not sure whether to go with the "gold with a little white and blue" or the "white with a little blue and black". Both sound extremely tempting. Does anyone have any pictures of these to help me decide?

I'M SORRY I don't know where else to look for this information.

I am using my dads old JVC JL-F50 from the 70's. I have read that certain players can damage records by the weight of the arm, the way the needle is... Anyway, I am fairly new to vinyl and am just wondering if this player could be damaging my records, and reducing its quality more than a new player would. Does anybody know about this turntable? I would be willing to spend around $300 on a new turntable if it will help protect my records.

Just picked up the double picture disc gatefold of the new Nightwish album. Didn't even know this existed. Does anybody know how many of these were made? They are each numbered, so I was just wondering.

Thank you everyone for your help! Does anyone know anything about these preamps? I found the ART DeeJay pre II for $51.99, and the Behringer Microphono PP400 Phono Preamp for $24.99. Is it worth paying double to get the ART pre? Will there be a noticiable difference? Or do you think I should go with the Behringer.

Sorry guys, I'm new to vinyl. I have a few Mastodon and Municipal Waste records, and my dad just gave me his old JVC JL-F50 player. I know, it's crazy old, but it works. When I brought it up to my system and plugged it in, it wouldn't work. I have a Sony 400w 3 CD changer (MHC-GX450) and I plugged it into the AV plugs in the front and it was really quiet. I turned the volume all the way up on the Sony and the sound quality wasn't very good and it was still pretty quiet. I have used these plugs for an iPod and a Playstation before, so I know they work for those. And I listened to this record player in my Dad's office right before I moved it up to my room. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this won't work? Or what I need to get to make it work?
