  1. It really doesn't seem a like an anti-flip measure to me.
  2. it happens every single time the one that I think is the funniest is when people ask if stores are gonna be carrying the coloured version
  3. I think it's hilarious that it's written as some sort of catchy song even though the lyrics don't flow well at least they don't flow like a typical catchy radio pop song would.
  4. someone made it for April fools. Anyone seen the Strung Out record yet?
  5. Did you not realize when you were collecting that it wasn't gonna stop any time soon? When the 18th pressing came up with 7 variants did you say "this is probably gonna be the last pressing for a while"?
  6. Cool that it's shipping from Canada. Maybe I'll actually pick this one up.
  7. Being the raving fanboy that I am, Less Than Jake - GNV FLA http://vinylcollective.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=10987&page=4#268985 http://vinylcollective.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=10987&page=5#271032
  8. My guess is a couple hundred. Since they're a fairly large band (platinum record, gold records) who hasn't really released limited record variants before, I assumed they meant limited to 1000 or something so I was pretty shocked to find out they're gone. They had only been up for sale for a few hours when I posted the link.
  9. They've been repressing records that were released over 10 years ago. It's not like they're doing it with every single record all at once either. It's not a big cash grab, they're just bringing attention to some of their "classic" records.
  10. that's awesome! wish I could get my hands on one of those.
  11. and now to once again bump an old thread, the record is finally available. http://cakemusic.com/mog.html
  12. Haha, same thing happened to me. I ordered a dozen items and none were in stock. This guy runs an online distro out of Calgary. Ordered a couple records from him a few years back. http://www.toonorthrecords.com/
  13. not to mention they're in the process of creating a new album
  14. from their website: Coming soon... limited edition 180-gram heavy-weight orange vinyl discs... with distinctive Motorcade poster included... plus a complete digital album download... stay tuned... I don't care what some people say about that album. It's got a cool spanish sounding style that wasn't matched on any of their other albums and has so many memorable tracks. Really excited for this release.
  15. From the description at interpunk: "Consisting of 3 7"s of live, acoustic, or demo versions of album tracks and B-sides. Also included is a cd of the album, a poster of the band, and a DVD of in-studio footage!" slated for release on November 11, 2008. Is VC going to be carrying these?
  16. We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not Happy is my favourite, followed by Turn The Radio Off, Why do They Rock So Hard then Cheer Up!, but those are all great albums. Monkeys for Nothing... isn't so great. It was pretty mediocre, although there are definitely a few good tracks.
  17. last time I saw the flatliners I finally decided to but a shirt so I asked the merch girl for a specific shirt in small and she gave me this confused look and went to look for it but couldn't find one, so I asked for a different shirt in small and she says "you're a large, not a small. your shoulders are too big" and started getting fussy about it. like what the fuck. I have broad shoulders but a small waist so if I get a large it looks EXTREMELY baggy. fuck you flatliners merch girl for trying to tell me I don't know my shirt size.
  18. I got the euro presses of How Far Our Bodies Go on Wednesday, if that's what you're talking about.
