last time I was in New York, I had the best luck at Academy Records. pretty sure they have multiple locations but I found some really good stuff at the store in Williamsburg. have fun man!

Dodgers are actually my team...so this will be the first time I'm seeing a Dodger home game. Not battling yuppy Cub fans all night long is going to be a treat. On a side note, I'm taking my old man - this will be the first time seeing a Dodgers home game for him since he was in Brooklyn.

one of you dudes from LA - need some quick help. Is it possible to grab a cab outside Dodger Stadium? (I know, this sounds totally ridiculous). I'm flying out for game 4 and I'm used to being able to just stumble out onto Clark from Wrigley and hoping in a cab - no idea if I need to rent a car or not.

That was some good reading. I don't really give a shit where records are sold, what bands are carried, etc. However, I do agree that if a label posts on their website, "...if you do choose to buy from a store, please support the punk rock mom and pop instead of the super mega chain store," then backlash for doing a Hot Topic exclusive has to be expected. I think it's awesome that HT is able to get kids into records. In fact, I'm pretty sure HT has done other exclusive releases such as shirt designs for a number of bands which include Most Precious Blood and Shai Hulud. Again, I don't really give a shit either way (I still won't go into one) but it's hard to for me to defend a label that will post a clear and concise statement reflecting their views on chain stores and then go and do an exclusive release. My two cents.

check out sundazed music http://www.sundazed.com/...I actually just picked up some stuff from them recently including the Standells 'live ones' 10" and a Remains LP...they're reissuing a lot of great stuff. also, try and check out the "Back From the Grave" collections. I'm not sure how many volumes there were but I've got seven of them on lp. It's just packed with some rad 60's garage rock--most of the stuff is a lot rougher and tougher than the song on Nuggets.
