if it's legit, it should be popping up other places or restocked there at some point...

i hadn't been to the KUSF record swap in over 15 years but i went to one a few months ago. it wasn't bad. i was there at the tail end of it though. it looked like the stuff you used to be able to find in stores was now all at the swaps.

Yea, i'd take one too..hah
Lot of boots out there of that one tho so watch out...
-
did anyone make it to the record swap?

The Capital Vault vinyl reissues were the original mixes. I have Rust in Peace and it sounds good. I am still on the lookout for an OG press to compare it to. I have an OG So Far, So Good but didn't feel the need to get the reissue.

maybe these will also be the remixed versions for extra crapiness...

Captain America 2: The Winter Solder
40 Year Old Virgin (bit of a stretch, just records in the background)
fun fact: the strategy guide company i used to work for is featured on the shelves. one of the guys i used to work with is the son of the production designer and shipped him a ton of books to use.

any chance you have OG press of Megadeth - Rust in Peace?
-
I've been pretty happy w/ that cart since i upgraded to it...esp since i added the fluid dampener, which took off any harshness that sometimes came up...

anyone have either of the 180g black press or the 180g blue they want to get rid of?
let me know.

Only 2 things get me to go into the City. Record shopping and the french dip @ Hillstone's.

heh "crowd of back-of-the-room beer-sippers to make their way to the front after TEEN DEATH wail through their first song". that describes exactly how i discovered Nothington at a Drag the River show. When they played "where i stand"
"friends" is certainly "Weezer-esque" to say the least
-
ordered the list of mentions so far in OP...
-
yea that sure was another one i saw recently too...
all OVER the damn place i'm sayin
-
there is a lot of 70s music mentioned in that show too like Rush and Grateful Dead from what I remember...

I don't know if it's necessarily fair to include stuff that takes place during vinyl's heyday. I mean, Freaks and Geeks is another one where vinyl is featured...but it takes place during the Vietnam era, so it makes sense for it to be in there. Y'know?
i haven't been 'counting' stuff that takes place where you would naturally expect to see TT/vinyl, like record store movies or movies about music industry or people, like you say, when records were the major format...just been surprised at the sheer volume of instances where you wouldn't necessarily expect it to show up and it being so featured in several specific shots even...
and, btw, freaks & geeks is set in 1980-81, not really the Vietnam era. US got out of 'Nam in 1974.

Ah, my bad... yeah it was "Warm Bodies". The one that's like a tween zombie romance. I work on movies so I get to watch a lot of retarded stuff.
yea that was pretty bad. that was one another one i had seen fairly recently where i was all records/TT again eh
-
Only Lovers Left Alive: This movie is basically about collecting guitars and listening to vinyl. I loved it.
Dead Bodies: zombies love listening to vinyl apparently. lame.
you mean warm bodies?
or was it in dead bodies too?

I did UPS sending my TT to KAB and back w/ insurance. Packed well in OG box within a bigger box there were no problems either direction.
