  1. A big boo/hiss for Razor & Tie

    I got the The Sword's Low Country RSD release that had obvious pressing issues,

    Tons of surface noise and distortion.

    A number of complaints about the same issue on Discogs.

    My(and others, apparently) many phone calls, emails, and facebook messages all went unanswered.

    I eventually asked Bull Moose(place of purchase) if they knew how to get in touch with them.

    They offered an exchange with reimbursement for shipping even though I'm sure a lot of places would not be as accommodating. 

    I returned it and said that they didn't need to cover return shipping, they refunded it anyway.

    Luckily, the new copy sounds great.

    I feel badly for the poor bastards out there  that got stuck with a defective copy.

    Big ups to Bull Moose!

    My copy of TP arrived with a gash on side B.

    I've never received a new(and expensive) record in such condition.

    After I provided the photo above, I had to return at my expense.

    Was told I needed to wait 2 or 3 months for a new pressing.

    Replacement copy didn't have a scratch but was still very disappointing.

    Style over substance.

    Same audio quality issue with FWWM, as mentioned.

    My Mondo experiences were pretty awful but damn do I want The Devil's Candy.

    Rant over.

    Is there a way to know if certain Mondo releases will be available from other retailers in the future?

  3. I've only had one issue with Deep Discount out of a dozen or so orders.

    The order was not marked as shipped a few days after order placed, receipt received, card charged.

    Called them and was told the order/invoice number did not exist in their system.

    The person I spoke with didn't really seem to care, so I asked to speak with someone else.

    Apparently, they had some issues with their system and they apologized.

    Received an apology email and it all worked out in the end with no real delay.

    Not sure what would have happened if I hadn't called though.

     

    A tip for Deep Discount and other places:

    Sometimes, if you leave items in your cart for whatever amount of time, they will send you a code encouraging you to complete the sale

    Just used a $5 off $25 order yesterday at DD
