you top 10+ LP's artwork !
benchwarmer replied to xlovecolouredx's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
yea, autographs are totally not lame. I have 2 of my alkaline trio LPs signed, and on my "From here to infirmary" LP they all drew all over it, on their faces and stuff, it's pretty awesome. as far as art, I really like the guy that does the work for None More Black and Mastodon (same dude, 2 way different bands). I forget his name, but his set up and execution are killer. -
How did you find Vinyl Collective?

Yeah, I remember those wood boxes the had Newbury Comics, they seemed nice. I saw the same kind at a store called A.C. Moore the other day. I have the plastic boxes from bags unlimited and they are nice, I need to get one for my 7". yea but the ones from AC moore are thinner and more expensive, I almost bought some then found my newbs had a few left and bought the rest.

I put all my records in plastic sleeves. I don't have any for 7"s or 10"s, so if they come in one, great, if not, i might stick them in a larger one (not 7"s). I also keep them in wooden boxes, some from IKEA and some from Newbury Comics (New England area record store, had sweet, thick, sturdy LP boxes, but they don't sell them anymore). I generally take off the shrink wrap because a lot of the times it is too tight on the jacket and bends or warps it. I only still have the shrink wrap on one LP, The Smiths "Meat is Murder" because it has a Lechmere price tag still on it, and that's so great.

I'm still pumped to have the whole set. I was lucky enough to get some limited pressings, but still, it's awesome. -
What do you regret not purchasing?
benchwarmer replied to loren's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
man I didn't know keep your heart on grey was in such high demand. I'm bummed I never got their s/t on the color that it came out on, I was too lazy to order it online, saw them live again and they were out. first time I saw them was in a basement with none more black, was pumped to get one of their demos. -
of course, you haven't gotten mine yet? weird, I sent it before you sent mine.
