  1. Phew! I was able to swoop in and get a black copy to go along with the other 3 colors I ordered earlier this afternoon. Sweet!
  2. My local music store failed to get any of the Muse RSD 12"s in. So I would like to either buy or trade for one. I have pretty much an extra item of all RSD releases (no Hot Water or Hold Steady), but if you want an extra Thermals/Cribs, QOTSA 10", Lips Dark Side of the Moon, etc. I can help you out. If by some grace of God you were to also have the Resistance 7" picture disc sold through Muse's website only, then I will give you preferential treatment and offer a very fair deal. Just PM me and let me know what you have.
  3. Me either. My local record store is part of the Association of Independent Music Stores (one of the 3 groups that started Record Store Day) and neither of their stores got any of them in, which I was quite surprised about. If anyone is lucky enough to pick up an extra copy and make some nice money without have to pay Ebay and Paypal fees, let me know.
  4. With RSD a week away from tomorrow, it should probably be pointed out which releases are UK EXCLUSIVES that we won't be getting in the US. There are much more releases in the UK than last year. 5. I noticed you have a band called Transit in your store. Did you know that Jack White's Third Man Records also has a band called Transit?? Both play completely different music, just not sure what happens when you have two bands with the same name. Probably creates confusion I'd surmise.
  6. Or, if you are in the US, you can pre-order it for $65 (shipping included) at the Nonesuch store (who are making the vinyl) here: http://www.nonesuch.com/albums/kicking-television-live-in-chicago-lp-box-set The only difference is you don't get the Wilco sticker....
  7. Very very cool! 8. Still rumor. On the Record Store Day site itself, it mentions a new Jimi Hendrix Live EP that will be released for RSD that most stores/lists I've seen haven't had listed. Last year, we already had the link posted on the RSD site. I am sure stuff is being added, pressing numbers are being confirmed. We should see the site officially announce everything no later than March 18th (if you want to know why that date matters, let me know). Last year, the RSD website already had it's nice release list up: http://www.recordstoreday.com/Page/642 I am guessing that they'll do something similar. *******NOTE****** I just came across this: http://www.recordstoreday.com.au/ There is going to be a Record Store Day in Australia, NOT TIED TO THE US/UK Record Store Day Group, on Saturday April 19th. We should follow this website, as most major labels have their own pressing plants, etc. in Australia. So we *may* see or get additional releases that are specific/exclusive to the Aussie market. Anyone on the board from Australia? Try and get us a list (if possible) and we'll compare notes.
  9. I know it'll be on iTunes but I assume there'll be a cd. It has been on ITunes for a while now. The physical CD release will come out on May 2nd. Remember: www.flaminglips.com is your friend. Actually, here is a tidbit. Late last year, Warner Bros. was trying to convince the Lips to get Zareeka out on vinyl. It was going to be a very lavish and expensive multi-LP boxset. I think they still want to do it, I think there is just a question of timing. If I hear anything new, I'll let you all know. SC

  11. Here is pretty much the newest, most definitive list I've seen yet. Pretty sad, in my opinion, that record stores and music websites are scooping the Record Store Day folks themselves on these releases. http://www.mbvmusic.com/2010/03/09/list-of-exclusives-for-record-store-day-2010/22654 Numbered/Limited Edition Releases that should be nice: REM Chronic Town EP Sonic Youth 2LP Rolling Stones 7" Hold Steady LP Soundgarden 7" Flaming Lips colored vinyl Dark Side of the Moon LP Mastodon Blood Mountain Deluxe Edition (fyi...the Deluxe version of Crack the Skye was only 2500 copies, so I expect a similar pressing)
