  1. Anberlin release also here: http://pegrecords.com/ and here: http://www.vvinyl.com/s/record_store_day/ So yes, it is coming out. I have the 1 sheet promo in my e-mail inbox if you need to read it. As for the EITS, the releases have been on the RSD Netherlands site since Day 1 and have also recently been mentioned on the front page (posted 3/8/11: http://www.recordstoreday.nl/nieuws.php?id=27). It may be a UK/EU only release, but I'm pretty sure it is happening.
  2. CONFIRMATION of Foo Fighters Covers Record: http://recordstoreday.com/CustomPage/1039
  3. If you click the Paste Magazine link, they attribute their info to the Twenty-Four Bit blog that posted it yesterday. However, Consequence of Sound has already confirmed today that the release is official and the Wax Poetic blog was *right*
  4. is there a link to pre-order all 3 colors? Because when you click on the pre-order link, you are taken to Paypal and are shown just the 1 LP option for $25)....
  5. link to all the stuff you compiled on your blog as proof its accurate? I can point you to the Record Store that copied the e-mail from the RSD folks that listed the release as a 7". You, come to this thread after not posting for 2+ months and claim that it is a 12" out of the blue. All I am asking is where did you see/hear that and if you can provide proof. Put up or shutup. I think I've proven that the items I've found out about are more accurate than anything that's been spewed from your mouth thus far. But again, prove me wrong.
  6. NEW releases such as Cars, Lady Gaga, New York Dolls, Duran Duran, James Blake, several quantity updates, Circa Survive, DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, DOORS, Opeth, RANCID, and more now here: http://new-vinyl.blogspot.com/2011/02/record-store-day-rsd-2011-rsd11.html
  7. Hmm....just confirmed that the Deftones won't be the only band with a Covers LP for Record Store Day......get ready for a FOO FIGHTERS COVERS LP too!!!!
  8. Yeah, a guy whining about how he has to own both regular and colored versions of the same items.... and pay for them!!!! Coming soon, the dietary cost and effort into eating your own ass. Ummm....I think you missed the point. He is not stating that he *has* to own the items, he was showing that if you were a fan of Mastodon, Flaming Lips and Jimmy Eat World and wanted all of the releases, you are going to likely have to pay a pretty penny and that is *before* you even buy the other items for RSD you may want.... Does the average consumer really have over $500 to drop on RSD?
  9. This is the one Merge release I don't get. A "limited number" have been autographed, which is cool. But you can still buy this online since it was recently re-issued in an edition of 3000: https://www.auralexploits.com/product09_6071.htm Weird. Not like Merge to do an extra cash grab.
  10. more new releases from Flying Lotus, John Doe and Jill Sobule, Urge Overkill, Javelin, Prurient, Neurosis, Discordance Axis, Oxbow, Nada Surf, Deerhoof, Jimi Hendrix, Mates of State, and Fela Kuti http://new-vinyl.blogspot.com/2011/02/record-store-day-rsd-2011-rsd11.html
  11. I ordered all versions of the vinyl only (nothing else) and received a shipping notice for the 4LPs on Monday.
  12. More new releases posted here: http://new-vinyl.blogspot.com/2011/02/record-store-day-rsd-2011-rsd11.html Looks like a new Rise Against 7", Flogging Molly 7", Mumford & Sons 10", Re-issues of 3 My Morning Jacket Albums as 2x12" PICTURE DISCS, Matt & Kim 7" and more. Geez, the list of releases just keeps growing and growing.

  17. I did the packaging for this and there will be two variations of this record. What are the variations?
  18. Some new updates today include: a) Foo Fighters will have a RSD piece (I am guessing maybe a Rope 7") Saint Etienne has a 6x7" boxset coming out (all tracks never released on vinyl) c) 7" by Zeus d) 7" by A Day to Remember e) 7" by Scientists f) 7" by Van Der Graaf Generator and more.
  19. Nothing wrong with getting some pity sex out of missing a vinyl release. Use the guilt.
  20. .2k That is kind of stupid. I was gonna get one had it in my cart and figured not to. Damn if they go for that much. I agree, it is stupid. These won't go for that much at all. Probably will average in the $400 range, since the upfront cost was so much and it is the first 6 disc release to get the "white vinyl" treatment. Plus, you *may* have some fans of the original artists Metallica covered be interested in this release, if they are completists. Here is the Black Vinyl auction link: http://cgi.ebay.com/METALLICA-Black-Album-4xLP-Boxset-White-Vinyl-50-MADE-/160546527332?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item2561519864#ht_2738wt_755
  21. between 300 and 600 usually. but those are out of 100. The White Vinyl Black Album just went for over $2K on Ebay. The colored versions out of 1000 they did for Kill Em All, Ride the Lightening and Master of Puppets, tend to go for around $150
