Really shouldn't have right now, but picked up a purple Temple of the Dog. Thanks!

The original is obviously a product that someone somewhere put ALOT of attention and care into. It was sourced from something much better sounding than the cd. The packaging was unbelievable, better than nearly any other record I've ever seen. It was how all records should be put out these days, IMO.
This respect the classics site hasn't said a single thing regarding mastering, sources, packaging, for any of the albums on their site... I have my doubts about them.
Torche's Meanderthal would like to challenge this statement.

Ah sorry man! I'd definitely say it's worth it.
The actual package itself is great, once again. They used all the artwork from the CD and the insert is actually a foldout 2 page booklet. Real quality stuff.

And god daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn the bonus tracks sound great!
-
Just got mine in today, spinning it now. Sounds pretty damn awesome. Doesn't sound flat like 6131's IMO and the bass definitely hits harder. The cymbals were also doing a weird like... "tin" sound on the previous one, not here.

I have the single LP from Cargo, but if this one sounds better I'm definitely gonna pick it up.
-
Anyone get theirs yet? Still thinking about biting on it.
-
Not a problem!
I know a lot of people opted for the black instead, but like I said it's such a pain in the ass trying to search for this record on social media. It's much easier to search for something like Quicksand, hell even the Supertouch repress to see how people feel about the final product.

My black copy should be here this week. Haven't been able to pick up a lot of records lately, otherwise I would have purchased it sooner and let you guys know how it sounded. Sorry about that. When it gets here I'll post about it.
Its also pretty hard trying to search social networking or even google for things like this because Handsome is such a popular term. Try searching that hashtag on Instagram or Twitter......

I guess I'm the only one that does have a problem with SRC then, from the fact that they don't communicate with the bands whose albums they license (see Hum) to the fact that they somehow get stock of Record Store Day releases every year and put them up for sale online on Record Store Day, to the fact that they sold copies of their TDAGARIM variant on Amazon for $10 extra after they "sold out", to the fact that they put up preorders for albums before labels even announce releases just so they can be the first in line to take your money (several labels have called them on this), to the whole SRC subscription deal from earlier this year where in exchange for paying well above regular price for a bundle of 6 or so unrelated releases, you got some assorted trivial bullshit like 24 hour exclusive access to preorders and a fucking obi strip. They're in it for the money, mining the music underground for its vast deposits of weak-willed nerds who care more about getting their high school CD collection on vinyl than they do about who's behind it all and what their ethics are.
Just gonna say that Hum and I think Sum41? aside, you're very wrong about this.
Jonah and Far knew about the pressings and approved the product.
Walter and Quicksand had input on both Slip and Manic Compression, and helped out with both releases. I spoke with them on tour and they laughed at any "shady" bullshit that people were trying to spread. They were even selling copies given to them by SRC on the tour.
Walter personally worked alongside SRC for Rival School's Found and the band worked very close for the United By Fate repressing.
As much as 6131 would like you to believe the opposite, Peter of Handsome knew about SRC and their pressing of the record. He's even been promoting it himself on Facebook.
I, for one, am glad to finally own YPAA. I'd rather that over sitting in front of my computer trying to get in quick to buy damaged copies.

I can't even count how many times I've listened to this since it came out over 10 years ago (jesus christ), but after spinning it a few times tonight I came to realize how damn heavy the album is haha. Not in the conventional way but man.. some of these riffs. Always cool to hear guitar parts you've never noticed before either.

Just got mine today. Awesome set and sounds fantastic. So glad to finally have this after all these years. It was so hard to constantly back out of picking up an OG.

Mine should be here Saturday.

So bummed as I ordered the smoke, but not your fault. A LOT of pressings have been getting fucked up these last few months.
-
Newsletter said they'd be shipping them out this weekend and Monday.
-
Hate to seem like an asshole about it. I think my problem was that I was expecting too much because of how damn good the CD always sounded to me. Glad you guys are enjoying it though.
-
Looks like they're selling this at PreFest and Fest according to the newsletter. If any of you guys pick it up post pics and let us know how it sounds!
-
I'm getting some of these although the cost was super expensive. My distributor says "colored vinyl" in the listing so hopefully that's what I get. Pre-order is already up.
Awesome. Noticed a lot of places are already out of this. Came out of nowhere so if I can get the cash together I'll be ordering it through you if it's still available.

From the SRC instagram:

Does Soundstage charge when you place the order or when it's shipping?
Also, I hope we get the full artwork for this. Didn't MOV put small cd artwork on the Mad Season LP?
-
I kinda wish we were getting the blue on 45. It just matches it so well. Oh well.
-
Just tried ordering it and my fucking Paypal isn't working. Ugh.

Same Difference always sounded very AmRep to me, with a big Unsane influence.
