  1. Don't quote me on this, but I wonder if this has something to do with a rights issue.

Either way, they re-recorded the whole record and preorders are up. The /100 is already sold out.

MAJOR EDIT: They just confirmed on IG that only the two songs included with the purchase (Vanity, You Broke Like Glass) were re-recorded.

  2. It’s been discussed time and time again, especially in this thread, but I still can’t believe how absurd ticket prices have been and how much they’re going to be. The whole industry needs to be rebuilt.

For fucks sake, two Deftones tickets are just about two hundred dollars after Ticketmaster’s “fees”. Blows my mind. Then you look at this RATM situation and it’s even crazier.

btw, did everyone's copies have the sleeves come unglued? both my copies have varying degrees of coming apart. nothing a little gluestick can't fix, but that was kinda annoying.

A ton of people are having the same problem with the sleeves. Got off light, a shit ton of people have been receiving the record (packaging included) damaged or outright broken. It’s a clusterfuck for the most part.

I think the album after that – 2012’s Harmonicraft – is a blast.  It’s aged well for me.  Their last album (Restarter, 2015) is... okay.  I haven’t gotten the mileage out of it that I was hoping for.

Yeah I'm definitely in the same boat as you.

Huge fan of this song right off the bat, hope the rest of the record is just as promising. Been missing some good Torche tunes these last few years. The last Floor record was fantastic, too.

  5. Also heard the live stream. It was obviously cell phone video of a record playing so it was in no way indicative of the actual production, but man.... goosebumps.  Sounded like they were using a lot of super low tunings which reminded me of Soundgarden (not the songs themselves but the actual guitars)

I had read rumblings that Strange Reflection was a real stand out and they were right. I can't wait to finally have this in my hands.
