woah. this is wayyyy better than the first album/EP/whatever. and i liked that one too.
-
i'm going to have to wait on both of this in hopes of them becoming widely available. can't do $50 for that.
-
i saw the band play over the weekend. they didn't say anything about this reissue or the new album; however, they played a lot of what i would assume are the final versions of their new songs. i think its worth mentioning that those new songs are the best they've written and anyone who loves dream pop is going to be blown away by this record.

did the second pressings of Heaven and Ontario Gothic ship yet?
EDIT: nvm. i guess they have?
-
you can get a digital copy on bandcamp now. i just did it and i've been listening all morning. i'm so glad the band took this direction. the first album was a little too crazy and all over the place. this one takes a little while to dissect, like all pyramids releases, but it flows so well.
-
if handmade birds were doing it, it would probably never come out. so, i'm glad PL is handling this.

shouldn't be that hard to get. shelflife pressed Kid Games and you can get it anywhere for like ~$10

i'm pretty sure an abundance of emails all saying the same thing is just going to irritate her. especially ones implying that such a label may need a kickstarter to do such a thing. as much as i want a repress of this, i don't think reissuing a record from a band they no longer manage is high on their list of priorities. obviously, i can't speak for SH by any means. but i've followed the label closely for years and this is my best guess.

And I'm not sure if I'd ever heard Matt Kelly's vocals? I'm not as familiar with his stuff, what other bands was he in?
he's mostly known for The Autumns, but he was also a frequent TSOAF guest, he sings "The Heretic." he has a few other projects such as Minus Music that are also awesome.
i highly recommend The Autumns. they weren't "metal/drone/whatever" by any means, though.

Unfortunately not. I read Profound Lore's site and bandcamp page and there's no mention of M. Embree or R. Balling anywhere; unless they're using pseudonyms.
It's mainly this style of music too for Embree that I don't believe. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I know quite a bit about him for various reasons and this seems like one of the last things he'd do in my opinion, sans power electronics or something.
R. Loren, M. Dean, M. Craig, and D. William = Rich Loren Balling, Matthew Dean Embree, Matthew Craig Kelly, and David William Embree
do a google search on any of them and you'll see that those are their middle names. these are also the names in the liner notes for every Pyramids release.
how are you not getting this? in addition to this information, there is a picture of the band to top it off. not to mention Matt Kelly's vocals are unmistakable.

was the picture on the first page of all the members together on a couch not convincing enough?

i prefer Kurt. i like all of the guests that are featured on Deathstar along with the fact that its super diverse. if there is one album a non-DGD fan would like, i think it'd be that one.
-
I don't follow this band closely but I'm a fan. so, was self titled/Death Star ever pressed individually outside of the box set? I reeeeally want a copy of that
-
they've been recording that new album for like over a year.

Will definitely check out more on your channel, any recommendations?
eskimoswim, any more secret stashes? Been listening to Airiel more and they are really rising in my shoegaze playlist!
i'm sure a few of these have been mentioned, but The Daysleepers, Helen Stellar, and Autumn's Grey Solace are all pretty good.
I know i recommended The Autumns a few pages back, but they are worth mentioning again. check out their first two albums, The Angel Pool and In The Russet Gold of this Vain Hour

Never even knew about this one, 2002, anyone posted here yet? I did a search and did not see them even mentioned.
No vinyl, just a CD. 4 dreamy, shoegaze -with- a- splash- of- postrock tracks, 26 minutes total.
Stella Luna - Stargazer EP
this has been one of my favorites for years. before the whole current newgaze era, this is what i would always recommend to people. its such a shame this band never released anything else.

did everyone fail to read my post that stated i ordered that exact item from them an received an LP by some totally unknown band? they didn't send a replacement or anything because they didn't actually have any. they more than likely have a box of the aforementioned incorrectly labeled records and are still selling them.
-
$3 at gohasting, if you care to trust their packaging http://www.gohastings.com/product/POPMUSIC/Kitsune/sku/287388825.uts
don't buy this. i ordered it a year or so ago from this website for a little more than $3 thinking it was the first press but it was a totally different record by a different band.

my pinkshinyultrablast LP came in today. looks great. i prefer their EP to it, though.
SPC ECO new LP due. Sounds dreamy ...
wasn't this album released a few years ago and Saint Marie is just reissuing it? i totally have a full album of theirs with this song on it. same version.

i want the nadja collab pressed very badly. i thought that was their best work by far. Faith Coloccia even did the vinyl artwork, which was gorgeous. but instead, we got that half assed remix LP in a DJ sleeve.
here's that artwork for those who haven't seen it: http://fireinfog.blogspot.com/2011/01/pyramids-with-nadja-layout-for-lp.html

I'm confident that this will be pressed.

still waiting on my Heaven/Ontario Gothic pre-order. is this being held up because of the Ontario Gothic jackets?
