EPIC! Happy Sheathmas to you! I posted a pic of my MS collection over here recently. I finally got a ton of the tour presses this month as a Christmas present to myself. Glad to see another collector on the board. http://vinylcollective.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=249&start=2625 that Beneath Oblivion/Sin of Angels is a heavy album. -

who cares where its at? more people visit this forum maybe that's what he was thinking. If you owned a business and you spent some time developing a new marketing ad campaign would you only solicit people who are looking to buy or would you saturate your demographic with opportunities to buy even when they weren't necessarily thinking about buying? seems smart to me I am going to buy something I otherwise wouldn't therefore he has proved his point. -

1. I could care less about Virgil's profits. Yeah, I like Virgil and I hope he's successful, but he is far from my lord and master (believe me, I've criticized Virgil on this board). wow you convinced me you are a real rebel. 2. I have been a member on this forum for 30 months and as of this post will have 7,444 posts. That averages out to 248.133333 per month. I post that often because I work in front of a computer daily. Sometimes it's nice to take a break. If you notice, very few of my posts are "talking shit" and very few are during hours where I'm not at work. You're posting on the same message board, so taking jabs about post count and saying you have better things to do is just silly. congrats you are awesome. I don't care. 3. If you really expect people to believe you're not a fake account of Steve (or Mr. Zonk, or punkandbeans or whatever his name is this week) it would be best to try not to make the same grammatical and punctuation mistakes that Steve makes. Those are tell-tale signs. ?-I don't get this but I guess I should lurk more and give a shit about your little message board politics. Maybe I should have to prove myself to you because of your awesome post count huh? : 4. If you're going to quote me, quote me accurately. I said "spamming the shit out of this board," not "spamming the hell out of the boards lately." lol wut wow sorry I'll start the defamation suit right away. I should really try harder to accurately quote someone as important as you next time. -

yeah man the elitist forum goer with 7K posts says you are being annoying as you have only 1/10 of those posts accounted for you are obviously inferior to his interneting skills and must do exactly what he says or else! I just want to say thank you for running a distro and carrying good music. OH and thank you for advertising because apparently the people who do not run your business seem to know whats best. : I think I might make a purchase today from you that I otherwise wasn't planning on. edit: oh wow you have MIKE PARK Limited Edition 7" + Art Print (signed) cheaper than VC amongst a lot of other records...that's probably why they hate you. Because you undercutting their master Virgil and all of his MANY vinyl PROFITS! I think I might keep you bookmarked so I can come back here when I find something I think I might buy from VC. Thank You "spamming the hell out of the boards lately" because I never heard of you because I have better things to do than hang out on an internet forum and talk shit. So I guess your advertising works just fine. -
why are you all upset? if you wanted it you should have got it. You are paying for the convenience of owning it after sleeping on it and deciding you want it later. reg dates and post counts openly discussed as if any of this matters at all. Do I agree that they bought it just to flip...of course that's VERY obvious but oh well big deal. Have you ever bought scalped tickets or antiques? Same logic...how about a classic car? I wish I was an elitist jerk who could get off on putting others down on an internet forum about records in a subforum for selling records. it's called Capitalism you can read more about it here: http://alturl.com/rbi5

Which record would you NEVER get rid of?

THE ATARIS "BLUE SKIES..." LP RE-ISSUE OUT NOW
swoopdog replied to supchillinyou's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I fucking hate the Ataris (now) and think Kris Roe is a piece of shit (now). But I own all of the releases up to and including End is Forever on vinyl. They were one of my favorite bands growing up. They were AMAZING to see live and so much fun they meant a lot to me. But honestly the last time I saw them was a few weeks before they signed to "SELLOUT RECORDS INC" and whats amazing is they made up posters advertising their next album and it was going to be called "Never Compromise What You Believe" in fact I have the poster somewhere... instead they released some mediocre shit rock album with stupid fucking half-assed bullshit songs on some major label with some lame ass title and cover song. Then I guess I should care that their next album is a lame ass "concept" record and kris Roe needs to buy some hair plugs to keep his punk rock hair going... Nah I don't give a fuck if you like The Ataris but I don't though in fact I have to wonder if they still play "The Radio Still Sucks" twice in a row to emphasize the point anymore....the thing is bands change but that doesn't mean we have to like it... edit: but oh man, can't wait to get this....great album! -

swoopdog replied to tonyregret's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
This band hasn't released a new album in 7 years and came back from what appeared to many to be an indefinite hiatus to be make much stronger and better new material than any band around. This is the band with a couple gold records and a solid platinum record. This is the band that survived being a national MTV band and managed to keep their fans by maintaining the values they have always espoused (someone mentioned the price was cheap.) And coming back to the underground scene. This is the band that cares more about their fans than any band around. This band has been around probably longer than most of you have been alive making the same amazing music that pretty much was the start of mixing Ska and Hardcore music. And you are talking about the color of the record, I can pretty much say that if you care about the packaging of this release you don't deserve it. also: "Kid I was punk rock when you were just sperm" - Dicky Barrett -
Man you should check this site out these guys have an amazing reputation. Also I just want to say thanks for putting out demo tapes and not cd-r's, shit is wack! http://www.midwestrock.org/shoutoutloud/inthepockettapes.html

I am currently at something like 70% of Mylene Sheath releases. After I get a few more records that I need I am going to finish some of the variants I am missing and pick up those hard to get tour editions. It's tough with a label that does such amazing work putting out different variants and so many releases a year. Lucky for me I love each one more than the last. edit: sup other MS lovers
