  1. If you were serious about that box cutter thing, i wouldn't do it. Maybe I'm just scared, but wait until you have access to at least a power drill, or in the best case, as Justin said, a drill press. Using a box cutter will almost certainly leave a wonky center hole, at best.

  2. I've been rewatching Freaks and Geeks lately and remembering just how awesome Martin Starr is.

This really isn't surprising considering how few people are familiar with the show after two seasons (I just discovered it a few weeks ago). Given the cast and crew they should have had no problem promoting this show, I don't know what the deal was.

  3. I really like this album, and I think its release has highlighted how weak New Wave was. I tried going back to that album, which I liked for a bit but tired of... I now only like 2 or 3 songs, and 3 B-sides anymore.

I don't really like the song White Crosses, but the rest of the album is pretty good.

I haven't listened to the album yet, but I heard a live version of White Crosses and didn't really care for it, so this gives me good hope. Thanks!

  4. If this doesn't affect 30 Rock then I just don't care.

I can't stand this show. I really don't know why, but something about it really bugs me.

    I'm sorry.

Out of curiosity, how much have you watched? I watched like 1 or 2 episodes in the middle of the first season and didn't really get into it. Then a year or so later I started watching season 1 from the beginning, and realized how fantastic it is. Easily my favorite show on TV right now.

  5. Forget pictures, I want to go to there!

Idea for a record: Get someone to play the same song over and over 500 times and press it on vinyl each time. Each copy is 1/1!

And I think this is a fantastic idea, although 500 is a pretty high number. You may have been joking, I can't tell, but if a guy with a guitar went in and did this I think the results would be awesome. Assuming it was a good song.

  6. It was a great means to an end. Whoever started this created an interesting and lasting style out of nothing, without even knowing it. I'm honestly too young to have been exposed to a ton of stuff like this, but I definitely got plenty of flyers done this way. It's awesome that something so basic and "diy" has made such an impact, considering any stuff you see like that today is a straight throwback to when it was necessary.

Or do you prefer the new fangled computer generated covers?

With these new fangled computers comes the good and the bad. Of course there are some (lots) of terrible photoshop jobs out there, but there's plenty of beautiful design that wouldn't have been to easy 30 years ago.
