  1. Saw Mr. Bungle on Sunday. It was good, but if you're a fan of the band you're likely similarly conflicted about the purely thrash iteration. I saw them back in the day and while this was great it paled in comparison. Openers King Garbage were pretty good and Otto Von Schirach was fucking awful. Not sure what I expected from a dude who made a 2x7" comprised entirely of samples of shitting and puking, but it was worse than that live.

  2. I'm conflicted on the price tag. On one hand it's way too much money for an LP, BUT if it were $20 it would sell out quickly and then flippers get the flip sale money that is in excess of what the band sold it for. If anyone is going to get the money for the art it should be the artist. I guess the solution is having it not be limited, but that will also discourage some buyers. Regardless it's a clown move... and I mean nothing good or bad by that; just stating the facts.

  3. Oh it'll happen, just not how we want it (2LP's in a fucking gatefold for $30)
Well, it will but not until after they drop it in reverse order of desirability so they can get the suckers to buy each format.
Flash Drive, then Mini Disc, then CD, then Blu-Ray, then Flexi book, then 12 LP box set, and only after that will the 2LP $30 "sane edition" drop.

Seeing Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (first time since 2008 and fifth time overall) and Titan to Tachyons (Trevor Dunn band) tonight at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro. Pumped!!

Well, fuck me. Went into a-fib before anyone took the stage and spent the night in the ER. I'm fine now, but really sad I missed one of the best live bands on the planet 😟

  5. If you're on Facebook there are two decent bootleg vinyl groups I've joined recently:

    WAX SABBATH MEMBERS ONLY

    Discogs Banned and Unofficial

I don't recall seeing any Devo in either, but they may be a better venue to ask folks if they have any. Wax Sabbath seems to be putting a LOT of effort into the packaging and presentation, but I haven't bought anything to gauge the quality. If you ask for Devo and enough folks voice desire it could inspire them to press some.
