Speaking of jazz, did you catch the bands short lived project Kilimanjaro? It was all experimental jazz.
Hell yeah! That was a super interesting little side project they did and I wish continued! I remember one live recording where Julio said he took shrooms right before coming on stage. It was spacey and freeform. Had that killer ATAL rhythm section. I've gotta try to get some more of their mp3s. I think I just have their first EP.
Did you ever get into their post ATAL project, The Black and the White (?)? I remember not digging it as much. But I think I'm going to give it another shot right now after all this talk.

Probably the opaque green since it's listed as the "Converge Exclusive".
sweet.

do we think there will be a tour variant? never seen Converge and just moved to MA so i'm thinking about splurging on a stubhub ticket for their hometown show in December.

anyone else having trouble checking out while ordering this? it's giving me issues with both Paypal and credit card options. weird. i emailed merchdirect.
and damn that's pretty uncommon to have only heard Lafacadio. definitely check out their later catalogue. their sound matured and got way jazzier and experimental. really wish they kept on keepin on.

so I guess these haven't been selling very well. did anyone buy it? how does it sound?
waiting to see it on the clearance rack for <$10

might have to grab this on the thrice tour. only album of theirs that i don't have.
-
the single got semi-interesting in the second half of it... The Somatic Defilement was their peak in my opinion. cool that they're still making music though.
-
will wait to see them this summer to pick up a copy. fuck shipping
-
damn. i'm gonna need one of these
-
I saw them play that song live once. Geoff was like "Tim Kasher isn't here so I need someone to get up here when the time comes" A kid got up and did the vocals and then security tried to kick him out.
that's awesome haha
-
i dig the track. nice contrast to their last album which kind of bored me.

Gross.
As a Thursday fan who's also a little OCD about owning complete discographies, and very happy to be up-to-date thus far... this is a pretty easy pass. I don't know; I'd realistically see myself spinning this once and shelving it for good shortly after. But maybe that's just me – live albums have never been my thing, but to each their own. Stoked for anyone stoked on this.
some pretty great studio tracks on this too. the first track, my brother the failure i think it's called... such a solid song

i'm loving this whole Thursday comeback thing that seems to be going down. let's see a new brunswick basement show

They're also going to start posting a recording of every show they play on http://livedownloads.com/.
They announced this during the Raleigh show... saying that after that night, every show was being recorded and posted.
Couldn't have started that a day earlier?!?!?!
that's awesome! i'll definitely be checking that out
-
Thought I'd share because I didn't see anything about this fucking awesome band anywhere on this site. They're slowly releasing their albums on vinyl in order from their newest to oldest.
Sylva came out a few months ago and We Like it Here just came out.
