How do you power those LEDs. I might mess around with doing that when I get home.
Also, what kind, looks so good

Besides a few people with awesome set-ups you would be surprised. A lot of people around here have cheap or used set-ups.

This. She's the proverbial "girl next door" that I wouldn't mind bringing home to meet mom and bake cookies with.

What do you mean by "complete" rap albums? Just curious.
It feels like an album and not a mixtape. There is care in the production and not just a simple beat to rap over. It is full and fleshed out

None at the Hot Topic in Orland Square Mall, I'm thinking about trying Joliet later this week. Ill let someone know if I grab one.
Haha that place is still standing?
Christ this derrickcook guy is the most annoying person to join these boards in a really long time.

So i downloaded The Heist and must say i really dig it, im actually loving Thrift Shop now.
Any indication that The Heist LP will actually be released as an LP?
Since nobody answered your question he expressed interest somewhere I saw and based on the sale of the two 7"s I'll say it's likely, I want a vinyl copy of the deluxe edition

I'll have to re-watch it then if it's as bad as y'all are making it out to be. As I said, I wasn't completely lucid when it came on, but damn, she was looking gooooooooooooooooood!!!
I'm with Juan, I was more focused on the visuals

Looper was definitely my favorite flick of the year
I thought it had a lot of potential but relied too much on the concept to carry the movie.
Cabin in the Woods was an absolute cinematic treat.
I agree and I was surprised, pleasantly.

cabin in the woods is an excellent film. we were actually just talking about that in the "recently viewed" thread
Yeah I saw that, I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it as I don't usually have high expectations for those movies.

I saw it in 48fps and really enjoyed it. As a film kid I was really skeptical (and I hate 3D), but I wanted to see it that way cause I figured he had shot it like that for a reason. It did take some getting used to, and I'm not sure it really added or detracted anything from a 24fps version. It did help the 3D look a lot less choppy, especially in some of the faster shots and action scenes. The CGI was my biggest problem with the 48fps version because a lot of the time it looked extremely fake. Even small things like fires in a fireplace just looked obnoxiously cheesy (and thats probably the only way I would've found out it wasn't actually a real fire). I really can't see 48fps becoming the new standard in the next 10-20 years, but if the technology picks up and the effects get better, it might be what saves the 3D trend from dying.
That's the biggest gripe I've heard about the 48fps, and The Hobbit in general, that it looks cartoony compared to the LOTR movies where they used a lot of makeup and props instead of CGI

It was an accident with the stink/stick confusion, but it worked so well that I didnt bother going back and editing it.
That's what I figured lol

moonrise kingdom is fantastic, especially if you already like wes anderson. I attempted to watch "house at the end of the street" last night. for some reason I thought it would be better than the generic horror movies hollywood shits out these days, but I was wrong. don't watch it.
is there a thread for top movies of 2012? if not i'm just going to add my list in this thread seeing how there is already decent conversation going on
edit: nevermind I thought this was the recently viewing thread
Cabin in the Woods was a quality scary movie if you haven't seen it.

Dang, that's rough. I have insomnia but I lay still, it just takes forever to get to sleep.

None. They were already ruined. Social media just provides a public forum.
It's like a car accident, you feel weird watching but you can't look away.

I think I've personally watched half a dozen relationships crumble via Facebook
It definitely makes the relationship public which is weird for everyone else.

As a crossfit-ing, marathon-running, registered dietitian I really love this thread! 2013 goal: finally qualify for the Boston marathon! Only a few mins away from my needed 3:35 qualifying time. Also if anyone ever has nutrition questions, feel free to ask!
Yeah what can I eat that tastes good but will help me lose weight. I know it's a pipe dream but I want to enjoy my food.

I just saw moonrise kingdom and looooooved it
I have it on my computer, I've been meaning to watch it because everyone raves about it and I like Wes Anderson

My friend does this when showering with his girlfriends and refers to it as 'The Ware steamer" with Ware being his last name. He says if they stink around after it he knows she is worth staying with.
At first I was going to correct you and say *stick around* but then I thought of the context.
now I just don't know.
