Been going back and listening to old Immortal records again. some good stuff in there. also have been listening to Winterfylleths the Mercian sphere and it is supremely bad-ass. what are you guys spinning lately? (waits for lame steel or tungsten or iron joke)

Shit Sandwich.

Its one of my favorite fantasy series ever. but it is an odd beast. i love it though, so can only give it the highest reccommendation. the new book is more of the same. writing on this seems a bit more concise then the last two books of the series, almost halfway throughway it. really good.

Saw them last night, the new songs kicked ass. especially the one that had the TAAAAAAAAAAKE MY BOOOOOOONNNNNNNES AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! part. and a really mellow song that doesn't like any Baroness i've heard. had Baizley just singing softly on it. really killer stuff. if the rest of the album is like that shit will be my favorite record of the year.

They kicked ass live. But alas, the merch guy said they hadn't received these yet.
