  1. Confirmed. You will hear a song from this in October.
  2. Same. Listening again for about the fifth time now and genuinely love it.
  3. I don't trust a $170 box to ship from the UK. Haha! And hoping the preorder from Amazon US drops some.
  4. Six variants too! And I hope people buy this. As long as he keeps making money from TMNT and Doug covers, and Maroon 5 reissues, maybe he won't put out stuff that is actually good.
  5. I can't find much information on this currently, but here's from The Future Heart Facebook group: It was 20 years ago today The Flaming Lips released "Clouds Taste Metallic"...4 disc set "Heady Nuggs: 20 Years After Clouds..." will document the era. The second and final album by The Flaming Lips classic mid-90s line-up (which included Ronald Jones), "Clouds Taste Metallic" - aka Win Butler's favorite album - was released on this date in 1995! Earlier this year the band performed the album in its entirety at Minneapolis' First Avenue to commemorate the anniversary.... ...and there's still some more celebratin' to do in the form of a documentary film about the album in the works and an upcoming "Heady Nuggs" box set including rare studio recordings and the first ever official release of one of the shows from this era. Out November 27. So apparently a five-disc vinyl set to document this: On Amazon now for $74.98.
  6. The most acclaimed and enduring film music in Hollywood history, the original soundtracks of Star Wars Episodes I - VI, are now issued by Sony Classical in a new box set, Star Wars: The Ultimate Vinyl Collection. All composed by John Williams, the legendary five-time Oscar®-winning composer, this unique collector set is being released just as the latest chapter in the saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters. This is the first time all six Star Wars original soundtracks have been available on vinyl in one complete box set. Star Wars: The Ultimate Vinyl Collection includes each of the six film soundtracks from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace to Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi in deluxe gatefold sleeves faithfully replicating the original artwork. Audio was transferred from the original LP masters using the highest resolution (up to 192kHz/24bit) and pressed with heavy 180gram vinyl. The six soundtrack set (on 11 LPs) is presented in a black, soft-touch laminated slipcase with an embossed, hot silver foil Star Wars logo and includes a digital download card for one complete box set (all six soundtracks). Amazon - $199.99 I think this is a really awesome set. However. It's priced about double what I want it to be. Would love to own it though.
  7. Listened to about half of it and wasn't feeling it at all. Haven't enjoyed anything of his since Act II.
  8. Some first press copies up: http://www.topshelfrecords.com/products/508615-pianos-become-the-teeth-the-lack-long-after
  9. Also - I heard a rumor that it could possibly be a Black Friday release. Besides that though, this has no definite release date as of today.
  10. Not a perfect analogy. I'm just curious if people are going to stop buying these records because an investor did something really shitty. So do lots of companies. Is it because this was particularly bad? Is there a sliding scale on how bad something is that determines whether or not to support a company?
  11. This whole thing is weird to me. Are people really not going to buy a Nothing or United Nations or No Devotion or Torche Amore record because an investor was bad? That's like die-hard evangelicals refusing to do business at Starbucks because they support same-sex marriage. With that kind of stance on business, your life would significantly change.
