  1. my Shook Ones - Facetious Folly Feat test pressing. awesome silk screened cover art.
  2. i dont know if this was already mentioned... but i liked that recordnerd gave you a count of how many records you own. i think that'd be cool. also, i think a visitor counter would be nifty, as well.
  3. oh, and there's this trendy hip hop store at the mall that was selling a shirt that had its design totally ripped off from The Clash's London Calling. except the dude was smashing a radio. and the name brand was printed in the same style as the band's logo on the S/T album. it pissed me off.
  4. i've always seen the auctions and the site, but never bought anything from it. i was always planning to take advantage of the shipping deal, but going through all the pages seeing stuff i wanted, the thought of "saving money" wouldn't leave my head. nofxwiki.net forums lead me to this board!
  5. there was a NOFX "War On Errorism" poster in the girl's room in 28 Weeks Later.
  6. won on ebay: Lifetime - Jersey's Best Dancers (test pressing) Trial By Fire - Ringing in the Dawn (test pressing)
  7. hey. for you guys who keep the records separate from the jacket in the plastic sleeve, do you guys keep 2xLPs in the same sleeve? i do, but it seems super bulky, maybe even more likely to bend the jacket and cause ringwear. but i really don't know. should i keep them in separate sleeves?
  8. Sinking Ships - Disconnected (green /300) Terror - One With The Underdogs (white /150) Dropkick Murphys/The Business - Split (tan) anyone know pressing info for the DKM/Business split?
  9. clear! it looks like someone jizzed on it and made it a record.
  10. hey faith posted this in the wiki awhile back. supposedly it's outdated and incorrect in some things, but no one's found the more recent version. it's the victory records spreadsheet for colors and numbers. http://nofxwiki.net/phpbb2/download.php?id=278
  11. it's the test pressing for the 12" SINGLE of "Wonderful". bought it at a record swap at 924 gilman earlier this year for $25. could anyone guess how much it's worth or how many were made?
  12. Weezer w/ Matt Sharp > Weezer w/o Matt Sharp
  13. Pinkerton + all it's b-sides + Say It Ain't So > anything Weezer has put out
  14. keep most of my 12"s in plastic sleeves, records separate from the jacket. i store them vertically in an expedit (sp...that thing from ikea) shelf. i keep my 7"s in small plastic storage boxes (8"x6"?). i separate the jacket and the records when i can, for the 7"s, too.
  15. german pressing? does jade tree ever license to any german labels? it's probably a bootleg, if anything.
  16. hey Maladroit was a pretty good record. just not completely there. won on ebay today: New Found Glory - Nothing Gold Can Stay (Gold vinyl, #268/1000--at least i think that's the number, STILL SEALED!) New Found Glory - New Found Glory (Pic disc, #116/1000) went to berkeley yesterday and picked up: 88 Fingers Louie/Kid Dynamite - Split (black) non-vinyl buys: The Aquabats - The Return of... Leatherface - Dog Disco
  17. yeah, and i doubt it will show up any time soon!
  18. i'd mix fat wreck chords and broken rekids for my gangsta rap label... PHAT MUTHAFUCKIN' REKIDS
  19. got in the mail today... Shook Ones - Sixteen - Record release poster #4/5 if anyone has the record release poster for Facetious Folly Feat that they'd be willing to sell or trade, let me know because i need it. thanks!
  20. yeah, i think all colored KD lps are limited to 500. at least that's what everyone says.
  21. they took other bands' royalty money to sign other bands that weren't that great and didn't sell well. at least that's what i read. so yeah they're pretty much neck deep in royalty debt. so i would say that they're pretty broke.
  22. no, i certainly don't subscribe to any organized religion. but hardcore has always been about having an open mind and allowing people to express what they believe in, whether that's being a vegetarian, having a tight night group of friends, or christianity. it all contains a level of preaching, ya know? yeah, i get what you're saying. but i'm pretty sure it's just my attitude towards the church. the more you talk to people, the more you learn about the scene, i guess! as far as what i'm INTO, i'm kind of all over the place. i like punk music. more specifically, melodic hardcore, punk, pop punk, ska, ska punk, indie, some reggae, some country and some mainstream alternative rock. but i can also listen to hip hop or some classic rock. can't really get into trance/house/techno music though. classical is good. some (not all) of my favorite bands: The Clash, Jawbreaker, Shook Ones, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime, NOFX, Jets To Brazil, Big D and the Kids Table, Foo Fighters, Weezer, The Aquabats, and (old) Against Me!
  23. yeah, i guess you guys are right when it comes top upholding the same ideals, but i don't feel as if hardcore should be used as a platform to preach your religion. sure, good purpose, but i don't know... i just have a bad relationship with the catholic church. so maybe it's just me.
