  1. No offense, but Staples Center is garbage as well imo. I've never been to an arena that felt so much like it was organized by income level. It's like they put so many levels of luxury boxes in, and then suddenly realized they might as well add an upper deck for the peasants.

  2. The problem with rsdbf is alot of the titles are weak and overpriced. When you are a large store or any store and realize you are sitting on a ton of items with high costs and a no return distribution policy you want to get rid of it before hype dies down. Rsd Ned's to offering releases people want at reasonable cost items. As a store you want the exposure and don't want your customers going elsewhere but the time, energy and financial cost with what is being offered the last few years has to have stores thinking their participation especially when the largest independent square footage store in the us in the 2nd largest us city puts stuff online 30 mins after they open

Well said, which is why RSD won't do anything since it wouldn't serve their best interests. Between the bloated pricing this BF (on many items, not all) and these shops selling early, it's the exact opposite of what the whole day is supposed to be about.

  3. Well I thank you guys. You're incredibly sweet and it means a lot to have your support. I'm soooooooo tempted just to put everything up right now but it's hard to have the high ground when you're doing the same thing as the person in the wrong.

Blast the offenders on their social media!

Btw - which Ride the Lightning press is that on your site? (1 hr 50 minutes to go!)

  4. Fuck me. WouND up blowing 100 on Fight For Your Mind, Stankonia and High Fidelity.

I initially grabbed a high number on the Harper, decided to check the others and of the four Amoeba had... one was #420. I took that as a sign, it being Harper and all.

Gonna try and drive home without opening it.

#420 - nice. Really hope it's signed for ya.

  5. $45 for garbage? Absolutely disgusting.

Yep. Many of these prices are just stupid, or maybe it's just the stuff I'm interested in.

No way in hell I'm paying $70+ total for a Garbage LP and a MGMT EP no matter how pretty they are.

4 or 5 things I'd buy if they weren't 30-50% more than they should be.

The fact that a large store (Amoeba) on the west coast is already putting up stock online before 10am on RSD says it all. There are going to be a ton of leftovers.

  6. I'm old, but I'd always suggest a cover letter unless it's just an entry level position. IMO most resumes are ignored (even when the person is qualified) because the resume and cover letter aren't tailored to the requirements of the position.

Resume - condense, and make sure the skills/experience you have that are relevant to the position are clearly listed.

Cover Letter - Shouldn't be more than a couple of paragraphs, and should explain why you're a great fit for the job. If a hiring manager glances at yours, can they immediately see why you deserve an interview? If not, they'll move onto the next one.

  7. I like Star Wars just plenty, but I can't imagine going to a marathon of this length:

4:00am Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

6:30am Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

9:05am Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

11:40am Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

2:00pm Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

4:20pm Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

7:00p Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Of course the tickets to this at my local theater sold out already. For $50 a pretty good deal.

  8. This past year, January to April I watched at most 3 Leaf games (2 in person), and it was the smallest amount of Leafs hockey I've consumed by either TV or radio since I was very young.

Same here. I've had Center Ice since '97 and they were unwatchable most of last season - I actually debated not renewing until they signed Babcock. I know he's not a miracle worker, but I do think he's a HOF coach that is going to turn things around sooner than later.

As for the Blue Jays, I'm old enough to remember Exhibition Stadium so it's nice to see them back in contention.

  9. So he changed up the verbal offer big time, but actually committed (and sent) this one:

I give: Matt Ryan, Jamaal, and Tyler Lockett

I get:  Brady, Ingram and T.Y. Hilton

My receivers would be very solid (AJ and Cooks with Hilton in Flex), but my starting RB's would be Ingram and Yeldon.

FWIW the trade analyzers say to do it....ugh, hate potentially parting with Jamaal and don't quite trust Ingram.

    ...thanks again for any feedback
