  1. Good points about Gronk. Plus if he goes down it really looks like an awful pick.

My league is full of sales guys, so they're already in trade mode. I am being offered:

    Brady and Ingram

    and I give up...

    Ryan and Yeldon

    My current team:

    QB: Ryan, Mariota

    RB: Jamaal, Yeldon, Mason, Robinson

WR: AJ Green, Cooks, DeSean, Agholor, Perriman, Lockett

    TE:  Walker, Gates

    K:  Bailey

    D: Jets

    Should I take it?

  2. Ebay finally closed the case in my favor, once a rep actually saw I had delivery confirmation. What a joke. I hadn't noticed that the buyer had already left me negative feedback saying I wasn't trying to resolve, which was laughable. Ebay already removed it, but I'm tempted to message the guy calling him out but I won't.

I had immediately re-sent him tracking once he said it didn't show, and I had UPS start a trace. Apparently if the item is under $250 ebay will side with the seller if they have tracking, so I wasn't even obligated to do that. Never heard back from the buyer, and the dude is buying stuff daily so something didn't add up. I don't buy/sell on ebay much and am very hesitant to do so after this.

  3. 5+ years in prison, 1.4 mil to the victims, and his wife and kids are leaving him, who will liquidate him of every last penny he has. Post prison he'll likely never get a job and could very well be homeless. I can see this guy ending up committing suicide.

Well said. I hope that rather nice house he has(had?) in Indiana is paid for, so his soon to be ex-wife and kids aren't homeless.

  4. Nope. Call PayPal/eBay, explain your situation, show proof of delivery, and you should be good. Buyer may have legitimately had the package stolen or misplaced but is maybe going about things a little aggressively (he's automatically assuming you didn't send it or that a delivered but stolen package is your responsibility).

Cool thank you. It looks like Ebay won't get involved until the buyer officially escalates it later this week if it comes to that. He did respond right away when I asked him why he didn't contact me first, and he said that him responding in any way automatically opened up a possible claim (or something like that). I figured all was good when I didn't hear back from him a few days after the package showed it was delivered.

The thing I don't get - he has plenty of feedback, but was asking me how I shipped (ups or usps). I uploaded the tracking # immediately in ebay the day I sent it so I assumed he knew that and had been following the package to know the delivery date. So now he's telling me his ups driver happens to live nearby and he'll check with him.

  5. I'd say you lucked out big time. I have the Elys 2, which I think is a step up from the cart that comes with the RP1. I really haven't enjoyed the cart at all. The 2M red would be way better.

    Very cool.

As long as it compares to the Bias 2 (upgraded perf. pack cart?) then I'm happy. For $399 I'm psyched to finally be spinning records after many years. Now I just need to find an affordable receiver/speakers/pre-amp.

  6. You didn't buy anything, you just threw a grip of money at a promise and aren't guaranteed to get anything worthwhile.

    Welcome to Kickstarter!

Hey dude - please forgive my overreaction earlier. Took it completely wrong obviously.

Anyways, truth about the KS stuff. I have a buddy who has $300+ tied up in a water heater on there for well over a year. It boggles the mind that they're allowed to sit on that much money for so long.

Their initial delivery date is this December, so I think they'll catch hell if everyone doesn't get their Christmas turntable.

  7. Having given this thing a bit more thought exactly this, gravity has to act on the arm as it gets nearer to the centre of the record so it's going to affect the bias and cause things like IGD and premature groove wear.

I asked them on their Kickstarter page about exactly what you mention, and this is the response I got:

"The tone arm is radially balanced, meaning that the force of gravity will not pull it in any given direction and the stylus will stay in the center of the groove, no matter where it is on the record."

I know it's easy to mock their product, but I still think it's cool that they have almost a month left and their 50k goal is easily going to hit 7 figures.
