I could be way off here but I'm pretty sure Evil Ink records is still somehow under Universal. Maybe they'd try to buy rights from Sony/Columbia? I'm not sure of EVR has any say left either. The most recent Coheed albums were released by Everything Evil and Hundred Handed. Does anyone know who HH is?

I don't see the problem. It exists in multiple variants and I have a preference. If it were only black it wouldn't make a difference. I love the album. What's wrong with picking something for aesthetics too over something else if they already exist. It's not like I refuse to buy the album until a colored variant gets pressed.

I heard someone had contacted them about having these at the Trocadero tonight and they said they forgot them but would overnight them, so hopefully they'll be available at night 2 at the Trocadero but not tonight. I'm really trying to get my hands on one. I even have a friend there tonight. Just my luck...haha

I think I could go as high as $50-55 here. Otherwise, I know where to get one around $60 which I'd rather not pay seeing as how I can still get a nice amber color.

I'm not really concerned, but of the 4 variants out, the tri just looks nicest to me.

Based solely on this recommendation and the $10 price tag, I'll take it.
