  1. The Container Store has these "Tchotchke Shelves" http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10016798&N=&Ntt=Tchotchke+Shelves They come in 2ft, 3ft, and 4ft widths, and are only 3 inches deep with a lip at the front. The records will lean a bit, but they won't slide off. I just put up a few this weekend, and they came out pretty nice. I'd post a picture, but I don't feel like being judged on my musical taste right now.

  4. Watch the Duck has 2 shows this weekend: Friday 5/10 9pm @ Bottom Lounge $15 http://futurerock.clubtix.com/bass-kitchen-candyland-gladiator-tickets-177634 Saturday 5/11 9pm @ The Shrine http://www.theshrinechicago.com from wikipedia: Watch The Duck is a three-member musical group from Atlanta, Georgia. They are part of the trapstep movement which is a cross between trap and dubstep. Some would also consider it to be Soulstep. It's kind of an interesting sound, and they're pretty weird. I think it could be a cool show. Three videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/WatchTheDuckVEVO?feature=watch EDIT: updated the venue info. I'll be going tomorrow to Bottom Lounge. anyone interested?
  5. i'll second Crossroads. my favorite bar in the area
  6. I don't remember my dreams a lot, so I thought this was pretty funny and wanted to share... I was at a Lollapalooza-like festival and Rage Against the Machine was playing an early afternoon, small stage set, and no one really knew who they were. There was a small pit in front of the stage, and Zack de la Rocha came down off the stage to sing in the middle of the pit. He and myself proceeded to do some hardcore dancing during a breakdown in the song, and he ended up accidentally hitting a girl in the face. The whole crowd started booing him and chased him offstage. I followed him back to his dressing room area and hung out with him, and he was upset and contemplating quitting the band because "no one understood him". I was trying to convince him how awesome he and the band was, and how the band needed him, and blah blah... so somehow I finally went up on stage myself and continued singing the rest of the set in his place, and got the crowd to love it. I also got Zack to come back out on stage for the last song to redeem himself. You can't make up stuff like this, haha. Feel free to post your own!
