  1. I have never honestly been in one, but i assumed they were all clothign stores for marilyn manson/slipnot/mall punk fans. If i knew anything about the bands whose stuff is sold here, this seems like a good place to buy + flip records from.
  2. yeah, i guess because i saw so many people wearing the shirts, etc that i never gave them a try. name an album to start with.
  3. I don't know if you get +1 or -1 for the Friends reference... I think you should get a -1 for knowing it was from Friends
  4. my wife got her hood pierced while we were dating.. and totally surprised me with it. that's when i knew she was a keeper! it didn't do much for her (you know, all those stories where ladies walk around and the ring rubs on their clit and gets them all hot 'n ready), so she took it out a few months later. i gotta say, i thought it was sexy as hell.
  5. ouch.. are you still, ya know, getting some of the benefits of co-habitation at least?
  6. Whoa, playing the age card, eh? Hmmm...I too heard them in the order they came out. I hated Pinkerton when it was released and it grew on me over time. I too am older, see. But you do have me by two years. Maybe I'll appreciate Pinkerton more in October when I hit 30. EDIT: I am also a sucker for Rick Ocasek, so that may explain my leaning more toward the Blue and Green albums. yep, it's all about age, but i'll always be ahead of you so there's no use trying actually, i didn't get into weezer until '97/'98 (i was too punk when blue and pinkerton came out, see). so you think you'd like pinkerton more if Ocasek did it?
  7. i thought about it because I live so close.. but I guess I'm not really into pop-punk. although I would like to see MTX from about 10-15 years ago..
  8. These are both excellent questions. one is a good question because the Hold Steady don't need you to listen to them.
  9. i think it depends when you hear it, maybe? i heard them in the order they came out (i'm older, see). but i find it hard for pinkerton to not be #1 or #2 on someone's weezer list, i mean the hooks and recording are top notch.
  10. this is fine by me.. i mean, what's the difference if it's cardboard on the outside and bubble wrap on the inside vs. vice versa? but i think what was used was a bubble mailer with NO cardboard to reinforce it. i have received records this way but instead of using nice thick cardboard, they use that thin-ass shit from a priority box, and that almost never works to keep the corners from getting bent.
  11. I'm looking at the LP + 7" poly bags.. would anyone in the states want to split an order?
  12. Torche is playing @ The Rock and Roll Hotel the same night and i think they are playing Philly the night after..
  13. ordered some too.. your dog has an awesome owner!
  14. this is a repress/re-mastered version that came out like a year ago.. still good stuff though!
  15. when dealing with ebay, I have started to send this message in the notes section for paypal, or straight to the seller: "When packing the record(s) for shipment, could you please remove the record from the picture sleeve, but slide it back into the poly-bag behind the picture sleeve - this will prevent the record moving during transit which causes seam splits on the jacket. also, if you could reinforce it by adding a very stiff piece or cardboard the same size (or larger) than the record itself to help the corners not get bent by the often careless USPS. I appreciate you packaging these with care, and if you have any questions, please let me know!" I have received 3 records since and they have all been packaged really well!
  16. http://www.openoffice.org/ it's a free version of word (includes excel and pdf programs).. it's what I use and it works fine.
  17. learned to dance by renting DVDs from the library and surprising her by taking her on her birthday last year.. she tricked me by never saying she liked to dance until like 2 years into the relationship. i fucking hate dancing.
  18. i've never heard Everytime I Die based on their name alone, but that guy has an amazing beard..
