received mine s/t from one VC user, but both records are warped and unplayable, probably because there was no reinforcing cardboard in mailer   . any tips how to fix that?

Would placing a book or object big enough to cover the entire record (with the record in the sleeve and jacket) and letting the book sit on it for a few days fix it? Without having to place it in the oven of course.

Was at Lloyd center ht the other day in Portland OR, bought a copy of MEteora and Rise Against.. Girl checking me out asked if I ever sell the records I buy. I responded with "I collect records, but yes, sometimes I will sell a record down the road". She then went on to tell me these are in high demand, and she sells them after her Ht discount.

Pretty lame that employees are doing this. But nothing I can really do about it. Just hoping they have a "one per employee" limit, otherwise that would be really messed up.

Thats pretty shitty. Time to go Office Space and burn the building down.

Wish we could petition or something. It sucks ass having someone buy up a bunch of copies to flip causing those of us who actually want the record to listen and enjoy to miss out.

hahaha I dont get new info on releases every day. When I have something new that I can tell people I generally post it here.

I'm not going to make a post every time I discuss a releases or possible release with a label.

Then I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that someday you can tell us of a Linkin Park: Reanimation repress   among other great releases that may come.

The person selling it is asking for $30. It's through a local craigslist ad.

Title says it all. It has a Shure R25XT cartridge, but needs a new Shure 3X stylus. Tone arm works great. My questions are: 1) is this a good/decent turntable? And 2) where could I purchase the stylus?

Out of curiosity Travis, what are the possibilities of Hot Topic getting a repress of Reanimation?

There's 3 or 4 at my hot topic in gurnee illinois. Can't rely on the store which is why I ordered mine online & got the 15 percent off since I got like 90000 points. Of course they get it in the store & I have to pay shipping. Just my luck. I'm sure they'll get meteora soon too. Hopefully my store gets the a7k reissues.

I managed to get two copies (1 for me and the 2nd for Andrewlucas). If for some reason Andrewlucas doesn't need this copy I'll sell it at cost to someone on here.

And good news.  Just talked to my local HT store (Florence Mall in KY) and told guy what I was looking for and that they probably just haven't received it yet.  He said to call them back the day after new years and check again because they have shipments in that haven't been processed.  The new year holiday is probably slowing things up a bit.  The best news is that vinyl doesn't necessarily fly off the shelves at my store so there's a good chance I'll be able to get at least a few of these to sell.  I feel compelled to because I sort of blew the whistle on it yesterday morning, at least on this particular thread.

Its always possible more could go up, not sure yet. There's still a ton of these left in stores and I'm trying to see if I can get the label to press more.

If/when more get pressed, will the colors be the same or different? Though it doesn't really matter color, as long as I just have a copy I'm happy.

I'm going to my local HT store after the new years.  If I see any of them there, I'm going to buy them up and offer them at cost to people on this board.  I feel kind of bad for anybody who thought they knew the release date and didn't check yesterday and ultimately missed the boat.  I wouldn't be very happy about that either.

Yeah, screw Lakewood. I called every 10 minutes for a few hours and no answer. I don't wanna drive all the way there to find out they don't have it. If anyone goes, can you pick me up a copy if there are any? I'll pick it up from you.

Ya I finally got through and they said they didn't have any. Maybe they'll get some later, who knows. I plan on going to check either today or tomorrow. If I see anything, I'll let you know.

 

This really bites, was bummed I couldn't get any of the Circa releases so I figured, "its ok I'll wait to just get Linkin Park when it comes out" I check on the 31st and its already sold out. I'm looking at eBay and it bites seeing the ranges between $35-40+.  I wonder how many people bought large quantities.

 

I want this and I'm hating the fact I'm probably going to have to get this on eBay.

I live around that area, I dont know for sure if they have this in stock but Stonewood Mall and Lakewood Mall both carry vinyl and arent too far from South Gate. Lakewood is a little more likely to have it.

Curses! I'm in LA right now (South gate) so I'm gonna check hot topic's nearby, anyone know of any stores in that area that have any in stock? I'm not gonna keep my hopes up but still try calling a few locations.
