I am looking for the Creedence Clearwater Revival release from RSD - The '69 Singles. I really do not want to pay the elevated ebay prices. Does anyone have one they would be willing to part with? Or know of a store selling them. I would be forever grateful. Thanks, Shawn

Looking for RPM Turntable football and Pantera/Poison Idea - The Badge 7". Anyone see or have either of these? The store I went to didn't have these.

Wanted: John Baizley of Baroness Record Store Day poster
sdriscol posted a topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
If anyone is out shopping and happens to receive one of these prints I would be greatly appreciative. I love John Baizley and Baroness and would love to add to my collection. Thank you so much. Shawn -
I am looking for Metallica colored box sets. The order I am looking for is as follows: ...And Justice for All (green vinyl) Ride the Lightning (blue) Master of Puppets (Purple) Kill 'Em All (red) Not sure if anyone has any lines on any of these. I know that some I can get off ebay, however AJFA which is the one I really want is hard to find. Thanks, Shawn

3 of the 4 stores I went to around here(Rediscover Records, Algonquin Records, and Rainbow Records) I paid about retail for. I know two of the owners personally and I am happy to say that I stood in line just like everyone else and got what was available. They do not reserve/hold and I would never put them in that position. The prices were right in line with what is on Bull Moose, maybe a couple dollars more here or there. The 4th place I went to, Vinyl Frontier in McHenry, was on the filp side. I did not get there until 12:30 as it was my last stop. They had quite a few things I would have picked up, however the prices were too steep for me. They had the All That Remains for $30, At the Drive In for $50, Cake for $11, Flaming Lips for $85, Joan Jett for $30, Mad Season for $45, Those were the ones I remembered. They put the price on the back so you have to grab and look at it to figure it out When I got home yesterday I looked up Mumford and Sons on ebay as I really wanted it for my wife. I found a store on there, Zions Gate from Seattle, that had it listed right away BIN for $30. They have a ton of RSD releases listed. AtDI is listed for $100, Blind Melon for $90, Jandek for $120, Flaming Lips for $130. What gets me about this place is they are listed on RSD website and have signed the pledge. What they are doing is going against that pledge. This is what drives me crazy and really pisses me off. This is not what RSD is about, this is about bands giving to the fans, not record stores gouging the fans.

Here is what I got at 3 stores in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. At Rediscover Records in Elgin: Rob Zombie 10" Dio - Magica (pic disc) Black Lips/Icky Blossoms - Cowboy Nights Mumford & Sons - Babel (not RSD but the wife wanted it) At Algonquin Records in Des Plaines: Dio/Killswitch Engage - Holy Diver split 7" Soundgarden - King Animal Demos Dazed and Confused Soundtrack At Rainbow Records in Barrington: Between the Buried and Me - The Anatomy of... Overall very happy with my gets. Just two things I did not get. Mystery split 7" and Mumford & Sons Live at Bull Moose

I am looking for the following on vinyl: Mumford & Sons - Live at Bull Moose Mystery split 7" later found out to be Grateful Dead/Dr. John/Dixie Cups If anybody has any of these and is willing to let go of let me know. Or if you know of a place that is selling it online, not the outrageous ebay prices, I would appreciate it. Thanks

I recently purchased a Linkin Park poster at my sons school auction. It is autographed by all 6 members. It is a tour poster from the 8/24/12 show in Chicago. It is framed and also includes the poster tube that it came in from The Collective where it was procured by the school. If interested please let me know. I can send pictures.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I have been collecting vinyl for the past 2.5 years. I was referred to this site by my local record shop. One of the employees there is a member on here. I am not a collector per say, as in I don't buy records to just possess them I listen to everything I own. What doesn't sound great to me or whatever I just don't fancy listening too I like to trade. I just wanted to say hi and hopefully I get to know you guys better. Shawn

How did you find Vinyl Collective?

Jpearin, who works at Rediscover Records in Elgin, turned me on to this site after talking to him on Record Store Day.
