dude, i have to order that spears lp asap.. it's on my list of things to buy as from what i've heard i like a lot. and that's awesome you just randomly hand them out. i personally thought the price of the lp was a fair price knowing what the go for. dave, need to send you old pics from the pink lincolns / go to hells shows. just so you can see them when PL were only middle aged. Jeez, yeah that Spears album was expensive as all fuck to do. Probably the most expensive album I've ever done. Chris and Sam are always really picky (understandably so) about the mixing and mastering, took about a year and multiple re-do's to get it exactly how they wanted it. Yeah I have some live footage from... 93 or 94 in PA, it's an entire show, best quality live footage I've seen from them. In all fairness though, Chris has looked old as hell, for like 20 years At his age though he still works rough ass construction 6-7 days a week. Dude is a strong motherfucker, and doesn't slow down for shit. New Spears album is in the mixing stage I believe. A lot of those 90's and even early to mid 2000's shows, he was straight up scary. Always looked like he was going fuck somebody up on stage, and has done it. Use to remind somewhat of GG's stage presence, minus the shit, and rape of course First time I saw them, it kind of scared me, He kept looking like he was going to smash the mic in my face. And then after the show he was the nicest guy I've ever met. Obviously a lot calmer now, but still acts like a lunatic on stage.

I've always given em away randomly in orders. 75 bucks a pop though, I'll do a run of all test pressings and make a killing!

I don't think him licencing the record in and of itself was wrong at all. I actually think the band was being dickheads about it. How much money is there to be made from a 500 press licenced record anyway? Next to none, probably a loss. But... I think the whole process of licencing records from other labels, paying them licencing fees so they can press a record that is already popular, and has been out for years is not at all a record label, more a person brokering someone elses product. Selling your own test pressings for 75 bucks is also batshit insane. He could theoretically pay for the entire pressing by selling his test pressings. You know test pressings cost about a buck a piece right? Nowdays a lot of labels just buy extra because they know it's an easy cash grab. Seriously though, I can see licencing a record here and there, but to base an entire label around putting other labels cds on a different format and selling them sucks. But yeah, I saw the bands reaction on facebook, they were being dicks, and the label can do whatever they want with their record if they own the masters and haven't recouped.

theres nothing that says you cant go to that board. personally, i think i would have preferred the complete demise of this board and having the other one grow. at least that way, it wouldnt be owned by any business in particular. I agree pretty much with that. Although I certainly have tons of respect for both companies involved, and it wouldn't be anything personal at all. But it is kind of nice at the new board, having absolute democracy free from any possible financial interest's. Again, that's meant with absolutely no disrespect to the new owners.

I have that one now, it's ok, but it only will accept files up to 5mg. I have to compress a certain bands mp3's down to below 128 to fit. Even a montly service, I'd be willing to pay for a good one. There use to be some really good widgets out there, I had a few for my last two websites, big enough to hold like 20 records and could even sell instant downloads from it. Expensive site though.

Anyone know of any good and easy to use audio or mp3 players that work well for hosting entire albums or several albums? I've noticed that a ton of places are asking for mp3 downloads of releases for review purposes, and I hate sending mediafire links and such. So an audioplayer capable of hosting both mp3 and wav files. It would be used on a wordpress style website. Any advice would be appreciated! I am really bad with technological stuff.

I wonder if the label is taking a decent hit on these, seems like an absurdly cheap price, especially considering from say.. a SRP of 20 bucks, the label is only going to see maybe 12 of that, at the most, considering some places have it for 15 bucks, I wouldn't be suprised to see around a 12-13 dollar wholesale price to some accounts, not to mention all the marketing and promotion they have been doing on this. I have a feeling there is at least a full length LP/CD and some touring on the way this year, the label is deffinitely using this as a loss leader for something... Or I'm thinking too much?
