Definitely my favorite track. The vocals are still of the dying goat variety, but much lower in the mix, as I stated. The music is such a vast improvement over Funeral that I can tolerate them.
Also, sorry it's not embeded...doesn't seem to work on mobile.
these vocals are quite a bit less obnoxious. the music is gorgeous

Liking this.
We've got a music festival around here that would seem to fit you pretty well. It's americana / folk / alt-country / indie with an emphasis on showcasing emerging singer songwriters. The schedule for this years festival is mostly set but if you want I can have my buddy whose been working with the band recruiter for the fest bring up your name and link your bandcamp.
Thank you, seriously, thank you so much. I can use all the promotion I can get. I moved from Kansas, where there is a ton of love for the solo, sad bastard, fare, and am definitely trying to work my way into anywhere I can get. Thank you so much for digging on it. PM me and I'll send you my record if you'd be interested in having it.

For those that brought it up- I've done tours, doing merch for bands. With that said, you go out knowing you aren't going to make money, but you are going to make a lot of connections. Therefore, when you feel bad for not tipping the merch dude, don't feel that bad, because he's out there, knowing he's gonna be broke. I've been that guy, but the band still feeds me and pays me.

Definitely pre-ordered this bad boy. Underrated band filled with great dudes that write great songs. One of the funnest shows I played with my last band was with these fellas, staying up late drinking and telling dumb stories. I will endorse everything they do.

We had to stop ourselves after the second episode. Unless they all leak, I don't want to be a month ahead, only to go back to weekly viewings.

At least I'm not getting over 10k to make potato salad. I work as much as I can, but I go to school full time and can pretty much cover rent, food, Internet and bills. This is more of an act of desperation than it is entitlement. Playing shows with my friends at shitty dive bars every other weekend is pretty much the only thing I get to do right now where I can relax and have fun.
Most people here know that I tend not to make negative posts, which could potentially hurt somebody's feelings, but not here I can't. Most people on here work full-time, attend school, and struggle to get by. Sure, it sucks; but that's just part of life. I did it for years. I had shit stolen, it sucked a lot; but I never once asked for handouts because something was taken from me. That guitar meant that much to you- get a second job, apply for a credit card, sell some shit (records, plasma, whatever). What about car insurance? That should cover it. Were your doors locked? If not, sorry someone wasn't being responsible.
I truly am sorry about you losing your guitar because I know how devastating that would be to me; but I would never leave a guitar (especially one with so much sentimental value) in my car- locked or unlocked, even if it was for a five minute trip to the grocery store.

Started a new mall job, which is the worst ever; but the upside was swinging by the clearance section of Hot Topic and picking up
The Ataris- Blue Skies
Acceptance- Black Lines
The Get Up Kids- Eudora
All nostalgia records that I've been thinking about picking up, and all for only $20. Not bad at all

Definitely agree on all of these. Additionally, Lantlös, Alcest, (both of their most recent albums strayed much from black metal, though), Les Discrets, Austere, Ghost Bath (specifically Moonlover), Drudkh, Amesoeurs, Skagos, Woods of Desolation. I could go on, and would be glad to if you'd like, but those are good starting points for atmospheric BM.
As much as I loved the music behind Ghost Bath, I just couldn't handle how terrible the vocals were- nearly "local band" status.
-
While I like the sound of BM, I just find it so tough to get behind the ideology of some bands and people (some of which are truly fucked up) in the genre. I'm not religious, but it just feels unnecessary. I do however like trend of more nature and spiritual type BM bands, and I dig the whole black gaze trend. Anyone got any recommendations? I dig Deafheaven, WITTR, Agalloch, and I liked that last Panopticon.
Vukari, The Great Old Ones, Ellende

So glad I only dig a handful of these bands, like others have said, otherwise I'd be admiring my records whilst sitting in my cardboard box of a home.

sounds good

Thanks Rambo! I've been looking into putting out a cassette, as CDs are borderline gone and vinyl being far too expensive to press. Seems like cassette is a great middle ground for a collector that wants something physical that has given up on CDs years ago.
-
Just finished the first two Y: The Last Man deluxe books and I'm really digging on it.

As a huge fan of the analog watch, I will definitely be passing on this, as the technology will definitely become an outdated $350+ paperweight. I love Apple products, and use the shit out of them, but this one is just a bit ridiculous.
-
There was a newer one of these but I can't remember the title...
Anyways, I'm looking for artists and bands to work with. If anyone is interested or knows anyone who'd like to release their music via cassettes I'm always open to hearing new independent artists!
I've posted it on here before, but I put out a CD/digital album out around the end of last year. Singer/Songwriter stuffs. If you want to check it out, here's a link https://ronnieglennwilliams.bandcamp.com/releases

Also, for those that dig having their comics in a digital format, ComicBookLover is awesome. It's like iTunes, but for your nerd books

I only buy the ones that I know I can flip for 10 times more than I paid for it a month later.
I kid, I kid. Like some posters have stated before, I purchase whatever pressing is out at the time of interest. I don't care about colors or whatnot, I just want a kick-ass sounding record. If there is a cool package on a repress that contains something I may want (exclusive shirt, neat box, etc), I'll pick it up because I like to have things. In that case, I'll usually trade off the other presses I may have of it.
I do respect those that buy multiple presses/colors/whatever, it's just not for me.

well done HBO. I agree, if Vaughn pulls this off, this could be a game changer for his career, hopefully no more idiot 40 year old that doesn't understand a 20 year old society roles for him in the future

I love NFG, but I'm with thejessb, I'm not about to pay $7 (definitely over 10 after s&h) for a new acoustic song
It is now easier than ever to release your music on vinyl
