Maths has four leftover copies of their tour tape up on their bandcamp right now, My Porthole Sees No Ocean, if anybody wants one. the tracks seem to be a comp but i haven't heard some of them and they are awesome.

Of Wallace's stuff, I really did enjoy the unfinished Pale King.

yeah i adored pale king too, i read it a second time to do a thesis on the movement from Wittgenstein to Heidegger in Wallace's writing, and it was even better the second time. it actually holds up really well too despite the lack of plot, considering the novel is probably his truest meditation on existence life and living with others, all i could think when i finished it the second time though was "what if this shit was actually finished?" it probably would've topped IJ. 

pretty surprised that this is as good as it is, still probably their weakest album IMO, but i thought it was going to be terrible. very pleasant surprise, 8/10 or so, great front to back listen

i was skeptical of the hype on infinite jest after reading the first few hundred pages and having been pretty into Pynchon prior, I thought it might turn out to be like Broom of the System where it was great but not fully realized, it was also the last novel of his I read and by the time I finished it I was truly moved, by far his greatest work and definitely a classic that is worth the hype IMO. 

damn i would've loved to get one of those Wata pedals, hopefully they will put some up online

just stopped buy to throw my 2 cents in and say that i'll buy someone's for full price(+ticket) if they are a legit long term member <3 and finally get fed up with this. 

i'm going to get this and that stillwater LP at some point, the spoken word stuff over TWIABP is ok but I thought getting the Between Bodies material live was disappointing, would've just rather had more Whenever, If Ever tracks or old material. 

the spoken word is sort of cool over the intro, but just becomes excessive live as it goes on IMO. the band has enough instruments going on as is, i vastly prefer just hearing them all breath and exist together than having this dude talk over random parts. i love poetry, i like lots of spoken word, but ehhh i definitely did not think "this improves these songs" at any point other than maybe the intro, and even then I miss the minimalism over that little blank bit. 

good luck with this one. i've never seen it sell for a reasonable price over the years and it would rarely appear anywhere

Yeah, people were putting it on discogs and asking like $130 for it which seems ridiculous. I actually got really lucky with a discogs purchase on this record though, I had it pop up on my want list for like 12 euro or so, it took the seller awhile to ship but the price was super reasonable.

at least this bundle has cooler shirts IMO. that last bundle had the stupidest shirts i'd ever seen, i REALLY wanted the screen printed cover but was not going to bite on that lame jersey. 

I bought some records from SeaMoney on July 15.

He sent me a message saying he was packing them up on July 21 and asked if I wanted to add a record to the lot and I agreed, sending him more money. 

I asked if they shipped around 3 days later via PM. No response. He didn't read the message but was still logging onto VC.

I sent him an email on the 28th saying that I just want to know if they shipped or not. Not upset, just concerned because it was a large amount of money and it had been 2 weeks. I told him that I could see that he was logging onto VC and maybe he wasn't getting message notifications. He conveniently quit logging onto VC on the 28th.

On August 2, I opened a Paypal case, stating that I would close the case as soon as I got a response, because that's all I wanted. I was hoping that the case would at least get a response out of him. I know it might have been premature, but I hadn't heard from him for 2 weeks at that point. No response still to this point. 

I will get a refund from Paypal on the 14th, since he still hasn't responded. 

I know he had to have gotten a message from me at some point, whether it be here, e-mail, or through the Paypal claim.

Maybe posting this will get a response out of him. I hoped that the records would just show up, but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen. 

So when he gets back on here, beware buying from him.

so scummy to try and push for the buyer to get more records. crazydiamond who posted here all the time back in the day and had plenty of good references pulled that shit on me, try to be all chummy and "hook up" with some extra well priced LP's and then disappeared and boned me on the VC purchase and some shit I bought from him on ebay without realizing it was the same person. other than that though i've had countless awesome experiences on here over the years with trades/buys so that's a pretty good track record all things considered. 

when i tried to play Last of Us on my ps3 it was basically unplayable. i tried a ton of different things like deleting the patch and then re-installing but i just had so many freezes, falling through the ground, audio cutting out it was insane. and then i'd have to boot it up again and replay the section just to fall through the ground at the exact same spot. i dont know if its because i have an original playstation 3 and it couldn't handle the game or what, but it bums me out because i loved the half hour or so of the game i was able to play, but the constant crashing made it too hard for me to enjoy the game. 

planning on picking it up one day down the road when i get a ps4 though....

this is my first time getting a copy of this, pretty stoked on snagging a seafoam bc i like the color, makes me think of seafoam green stratocasters. despite having a 1st press of deja and YFW i never got a D&G though bc i wasn't buying records for a period when it came out, i was pretty irked by it because its my favorite album of theirs, and i didn't want to get a MOV copy after seeing those terrible stickers. 

would still buy a /250 180 g from the 1st round of pressings if i could get it for a really good price considering all the other black pressings of this now. 

wow this is the 3rd tour press of Autobiography I think, first one i've missed!

are you guy sure that was a different blue? i think both were listed as sargasso sea blue and maybe just the mockup on the sts website was different from how it came out? or maybe there was a more limited variant?
