very tempted, but short on cash

got my Relapse order in before it was taken down, but I noticed I couldn't select what color I wanted. Didn't bother putting any preference down given they're all of the same pressing number, though I am partial to the look of the green.

Got the blue, though the green looked particularly pretty.

very tempted to grab it from Music Fear Satan

so glad this is going to be a 2x12" instead of a 2x10". 10"s are annoying, especially when there's two of them.

I'll give this a bump because I bought this record the other day, and I'm so glad I did - it rules. I only wish I'd ordered the blue copy as well to keep the integrity of the band on my white copy but oh well, 'twas made to be played.

Intriguing...a 'limited edition sold at shows' then? Listening to my Epitaph copy as we speak - it sounds immense. The entire package is top-notch.

Guessing the shards will be the tour copy...bummer. Is there any kind soul out there who'd be able to pick one up for me at a show? You'll be well compensated for your efforts!

I'm pleasantly surprised by the new album, I expected it to be ordinary, but it's very solid. I think it contains some of the strongest melodies they've ever written, and one of the more consistent releases they've put out.

I think it's stupid to try to compare an active band (that still has art ahead of them) to a defunct act that has had decades to cement itself in punk rock legend. No one can say what Converge's influence is going to be 20/30 years from now - it may be profound and genre-changing, or it may be merely a blip. Trying to speculate either way, particularly when it's done in such a way that it actually detracts from giving a proper evaluation of the active band's art, is clearly counter-productive. As much as I enjoy Axe to Fall, I think there are some controversial aspects to the album (namely the last two tracks). A discussion of their effect on where the album fits within the band's canon, and/or if it can even be compared to the works which have preceded it would have been a more relevant debate, IMO.

Got my order today, no seam split! Love the Marshmallow Ghosts 7", and all the cool shit thrown in with my order. Graveface are fast becoming one of my favorite labels in terms of quality and presentation of their releases, so I'm glad my favorite band (The Appleseed Cast) is signed to them.

I would also be super stoked on a repress of Peregrine as a gatefold 2xLP

I hope the news is of a new album or ep... *crosses fingers*
