I read and post on both boards. Both have pros and cons, idiots and decent people etc. I really don't care about whatever drama, save it being pretty entertaining. But I have to say, the posts you made in the ap.net thread are some of the most ridiculous and pathetic attempts at 'elitism' I've ever read. Vheissu is a pop-punk album? Clearly you have not even listened to five minutes of it, either that or you're deaf. This has nothing to do whether it's a good or a bad album, it is simply and objectively not of said genre in any concievable way. And bragging about listening to your Dischord records? Come on man, you think you're the only guy who owns Repeater or the Faith/Void split on wax? Give me a fucking break.

I believe the increased price is probably due to the fact that this will now have a gatefold jacket, when it wasn't going to have originally.

Grabbed PBC on pink, SA on clear, and both of Ruiner. Wonder when B9 will be emailing out the PBC download. Kinda bummed it wasn't put up straight away, but I guess they didn't want to leak the album so early.

So it'll be more expensive and less impressive packaging than necessary. and impossible to get the rarest version, and your order that you placed when the pre-order first went up will probably get lost due to 'database error' and you'll miss out on a copy altogether (happened to me with the latest High On Fire record)

i hope converge and hope con will continue the tour to s.e.a. too. this is the most possibility of mine to see those m.a. legendary bands.... Apparently that tour poster is a hoax, much like the Converge/Doomriders one that was posted earlier this year. I don't know why people need to waste such time and effort to tease us in this way ???

I'm kinda on the fence with this issue. On one hand, it's annoying sometimes to have paid for a record that you're not going to receive for another 4+ months (and not pre-ordering isn't an option, because many versions sell out well before the street date), but at the same time I'm antsy and like to know that I've secured myself a copy of a record, e.g. I wish DW would put the new Doomriders up for sale already, even though it's release date is not until the end of September. I just want to know I've got it. IMO, pre-orders + simultaneous downloads = the ultimate solution (for consumers, not necessarily for labels)
