  1. If your family still follows the whole "we will pay for you to take our daughter" dowery mentality, or I suppose if they just go with the whole tradition of it then yeah. I will be paying for my own wedding.
  2. I will be getting married sometime in the next year... it will be a super small wedding and would totally have you shoot it is you would come to Ohio. Think about it.
  3. Yeah seriously great show. The world was against my fiance and I getting to this show... I really thought we were not going to make it. I was so super bummed because we have not missed a Gaslight show in Columbus and even drove all the way to see Gaslight play in Jersey at Asbury Lanes (that by far was the best show I have ever been to and was their first ever sold out show.) Sooo glad we finally figured it all out and got there it was well worth the headache. First our daughter got pick eye and we were worried about taking her to a sitter. Then our babysitter got sick and our backup babysitter was not going to be able to make it. Eventually our back up worked it out and she came. Then when I went to print my tickets ticketmaster kept telling me there was an error processing my request. So I called ticketmaster (anyone ever called them? Their system sucks) and talked to a computer for 25 minutes not able to punch in any numbers or get to a representive. FINALLY I spoke to a representative and he sent me a PDF of my tickets. Then my printer was not working! Got the printer working and finally was able to leave. We missed the Measure which we were bummed about, but everyone we saw was totally amazing.
  4. were you by chance wearing a vinyl collective shirt at the columbus show? I saw a person in one and wondered if they were the person that beat me out for the tickets
  5. I wish they would have played 1930 at Columbus. I was pretty bummed they only played 3 SOS songs Angry Johnny and the Radio, We Came to Dance, and I'da Called you Woody Joe. They did play all of Senor and the Queen though so that was great. The crowd was not too energized but I had a great time. I was also super excited about Murder by Death, my next vinyl purchase is going to be these guys.
  6. I had mine pulled in college. I am a big baby with 0 pain tollerance. Until labor it was the worst pain I had ever been in. Now that I have had a kid I feel like I could do anything
  7. I am going to work then passing out candy with my baby and fiance... yeah that's it.
  8. I was also thinking maybe a thread to post some interests other than music like a "get to know your secret santa" thread or something... just a thought
  9. I liked Imprint because it was so damn bizarre. It didn't really scare me but I thought it was weird as hell.
  10. shows how much I pay attention to new horror movies I usually try to watch the remakes of the ones I like and then am very saddened by how they are ruined. Like I said the eye is my all time favorite horror movie and they made it a happy ending... how do you ruin it like that.
  11. yeah, the last 15-20 minutes were pretty HOLY CRAP! haha. i also liked 'the host' (as far as asian horror movies go) I have been meaning to see that one and just have not yet... I think that will go into this Halloween's queue
  12. I have not and I think I need to check that out
  13. and for a non Asian movie... The last Horror Movie was pretty good I also really like the original The Vanishing
  14. I love audition but I was so suprised at how long it takes to get creepy... I was like "wait are we watching the right movie" then at the end POW it gets you... love that movie I am a super huge asian horror fan pretty much all the movies that were remade I love the asain versions ringu, the eye (my favorite ever), dark water, pulse, shutter, ju-on etc for movies that were not remade ichi the killer old boy three extremes (sooooo creepy) a tale of 2 sisters suicide club infection Marebito Whispering Corridors face Imprint Witch Board Bunshinsaba the maid and the list could go on
  15. I want to do this again this year but I took a hiatus from the board after having Sydney... I am trying to find internet time again... am I okay?
  16. Farm & Beyond are probably the best "comeback" albums of any artist, ever. And if you like Dino Jr., check out Archers of Loaf and Superchunk. Since you like Andrew Bird, you'll probably dig Crooked Fingers. agreed Archers of Loaf are great
  17. oh nooooo! I am not going to be playing anything for a while I just go the RRoD
  18. I like the haints as well ... I like everything Kepi
  19. I am so jealous of you guys that are out on the west coast... you get all the good shows. I have only seen Kepi perform 2 times... once with the groovie ghoulies and once with kepi the band. both shows were amazing he has more energy than anyone I have ever seen perform. You will enjoy yourself.
  20. Sorry to come late to the party but as you can see from my sig I am a HUGE Groovie Ghoulies fan I think the best Ghoulies album is Go Stories their buried alive album is amazing all Chuck Berry covers His solo stuff has a slight country feel to it and is way more chill than Ghoulies stuff but is still super fun Kepi the Band is his other band. They are pretty much the Groovie Ghoulies replacement.. same type of music and they even play Groovie Ghoulies songs on tour Hope that helps!
  21. been playing brutal legend here as well... getting ready to play Katamari through again
  22. wow after reading this I wish I had one of those "what does your dream mean" books
