ntslash Posted May 19, 2014 Share Posted May 19, 2014 So I broke my Ortofon stylus guard after about 3 months. I see they have them on the Ortofon site for $8. Is it worth getting a new one? I know $8 isn't much money, but the things seem pretty flimsy and I don't want to replace them every couple months. How important do you think the stylus guard is? If you use a dust cover on your turntable that does the job of keeping the dust out but if not they are useful for keeping the dust out and protecting against damage. It's useful to keep them on if your turntable gets dusted with any sort of cloth, I have heard of countless cantilevers and tips being damaged by getting snagged on cloths and sleeves. ntslash 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
