dethrock
I've actually never bought a glow in the dark LP before, they always sound like shit? I only have one, the Explosivio! album and it sounds like absolute garbage.
500Homeruns
Maybe. But glow in the dark records sound absolutely terrible. Worse than the worst picture discs. It's cool - but it's going to sound awful. I wasn't disagreeing with you. They will probably both sound awful. It's a shame. I like that album very much. hickey
I've actually never bought a glow in the dark LP before, they always sound like shit? In my experience, yes. I've only had three or four, but they're just awful. There's a ton of surface noise and the music is muddled.

I'll have to borrow that album from him and listen to is on my system to compare.
GradedOnACurve
Glow in the dark records, just like their picture disc counterparts, are meant for framing purposes.

sdd
Why do pic discs sound bad? I have the Gaslight anthem one coming up should I cancel the order?
GradedOnACurve
Why do pic discs sound bad? I have the Gaslight anthem one coming up should I cancel the order? They often have a lot of surface noise which is usually made worse with the PVC sleeves they're put in. I have a pic disc or two that doesn't sound terrible, but if there is a non pic disc version I will opt for that.
IanRees
Got mine today, its my first GID record so i don't know what to compare it to but it doesn't sound bad at all and doesn't really have any surface noise, even between tracks. Probably also helps that its a punk album and not exactly the greatest of recordings to begin w/ that any surface noise is pretty well hidden. Really happy i bought this. Blaine
I'm surprised this is still available. I ordered the first bundle with t-shirt.
David Loyd
I received mine the other day and surprisingly I think it sounds pretty good too. Very little to no surface noise. Happy with my purchase.
IanRees
Mine glows pretty well in a completely dark closet, in a room that had some light shining through it wasnt a very strong glow though. Im not sure if its the same as most GITD stuff but perhaps you have to "charge" it in sunlight for a little bit.
