illusionofchris
Question: If i have never heard this band before should i pick this up, or listen to older album first.
jhulud
Listen to one of their older releases first. Go with "That Within Blood Ill-Tempered" or "Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion"
illusionofchris
Thanks dude i will check those out first.
xfedaykinx
finally listened to this. its pretty fucking epic. the new versions of "to bear the brunt" and "set your body ablaze" are fucking brutal
jhulud
The overall record is phenomenal. There is a lot going on musically. Some melodies in the strangest places and some insane time changes that make everything more intense. BUT...I am still not 100% sold on Mazalli's vocals... And I have to disagree with you Darrell...even though the re-recorded versions ot the two songs are great and sound heavier, I feel that the originals are way better...mainly because of Eric Dellon and Geert doing the vocals. xfedaykinx
yeah, i only gave it a quick listen this afternoon. im not necessarily sold on whether theyre better versions or not but they are definitely more brutal/heavier.
