jhulud
Every single year, they say that it will be the busiest hurricane season ever...and each year, nothing major goes on...but damn...they were right as all hell this time around. Storms back-to-back.

jhulud
SHit, just upgraded ike from 3 to a 4. Just saw in the 11 o'clock news update that all the computer models have going all over the place. It's gonna be rough but may not directly hit Florida. At least for now. They'll have a better track by Saturday or so.

melvinscam
i am afraid of hurricane Ike if it ends up coming near us, work will evacuate the kids up north, so i'll probably be with them. but my records will have to stay.
FullCircleHook
Damn, good luck to all you dudes down south. Serious shit coming this direction! I'm wondering how this storm is going to curve.
jhulud
I'm anxious as all hell but not gonna start freaking out until maybe Saturday when they have a better idea of Ike's path.
FullCircleHook
I'm anxious as all hell but not gonna start freaking out until maybe Saturday when they have a better idea of Ike's path. No shit. That thing might change 10 more times before they get it right. The idea of another storm hitting here is fucking sickening to me. At least a real deal one like Ike anyways. jhulud
Taking a more southern path but still of major concern and too soon to really tell. I wasn't living in Florida yet when Andrew hit but I have family who went through it and it wasn't pleasent.
shanehennessey
I just got back to my apartment last night with full power and our cable/internet came back today. We got super lucky since a lot of the city/state won't have power for a while.
mrc
looks like you guys (juan) should be safe from ike. Shane, I hope it avoids you guys but this could be trouble.
jhulud
^^ Seems that way. I still feel that a bit too soon to tell. I'm guessing by tomorrow evening we'll have a much better idea.
shanehennessey
looks like you guys (juan) should be safe from ike. Shane, I hope it avoids you guys but this could be trouble. Yeah, it looks like it's heading right towards us. I don't want to evacuate again but if it gets close, they're going to do the same thing they did with Gustav. controlthebleeding
Looks like IKE's coming our way and at a possible cat 4.. WHICH means by the time it hits austin, it'll be a CAT 2. Which isn't so bad, but we may be out of electricity for a day if anything happens.. My hometown is on the water, so I'm kinda afraid of what's gonna happen to my parents house. Ouch. Luckily, they're all boarded up and already out west with my Aunt.. Great. playing Mexican Bingo and having a good ol' time. so anyone in it's path, good luck!
