Polyvinyl Record Co.
>> Pip Brown (AKA Ladyhawke's) blissed out new album Wild Things is less about past demons and more a catalyst of what’s to come. “I feel good for the first time in 10 years. I actually have a clear mind. I have a wife. I feel stable. That is what I’m celebrating,” she said.>> Brown, the one-woman synthpop artist, worked on the album on and off over the course of a year—“day here, a day there”—with producer Tommy English (Børns, Tiësto, Dark Waves), whom she met through her L.A. neighbor, tattoo artist/musician Kat Von D. >> Listen to the first single "A Love Song," a sweeping, reverberating revelation diving deep into relationships and leaving the sapiness at home.>> Pre-Order Wild Things in any of the following formats: Early Bird Edition 180-Gram Clear w/ Yellow Splatter vinyl (limited to 300) 180-Gram Yellow vinyl CD MP3 Bundles (w/ new t-shirt design) >> Pre-orders ship 5/25. In stores 6/3.
Snaggle Von Swift
Figures I just get into this well after the /300 sells out. Solid album though, saw her live last night.
slipcraig
I got one of the /300. Sadly, it had manufacturing (THUMP THUMP THUMP) defects on each side. They issued me a refund.
Snaggle Von Swift
Wonder how many were effected, makes me a little cautious on trying to get one through a secondary market.

SNEAKORDS
update: played it, no thump but a fair amount of pops and clicks. one particularly bad section on track 2 of side b that actually makes it skip, right on a splatter bit. it feels like something is embedded in it. I'll give it a good cleaning and see if it helps, but it's a bit of a bummer.

Polyvinyl let me know that they listened to the few copies they retained, and they heard surface noise but nothing extraordinary. They definitely have a different copy than I have. If you want to ping them for a refund or return, go to their contact page, note all the email addresses there, and send an email to all of those addresses. If you send it only to mailorder@, you might not hear back in a timely fashion.
SNEAKORDS
cool, thanks. I'm going to see how it sounds after a proper cleaning, but that seems to be a likely plan.
