brammyg
So I just got my copy of The Shafe of Poison Trees and was wondering if anyone found that it sounded awful *insert snobby joke here*. Seriously though, Chris's vocals are all hissy and all the instruments sound mushed together. Are they all like this and it was a bad pressing? I was assuming it was recorded digitally and it just didn't come out well on vinyl.
claytin269
mine isn't bad. What color I'd yours? Coil it be the vinyl used? Mine is custard I think.

kurtz
Being recorded digitally wouldn't make a difference. Almost everything is recorded digitally these days.

scottheisel
I bought a factory-sealed, brand new red copy from someone on this board a few months back and it skipped and popped repeatedly on both sides -- maybe the pressing was just bad. markalark17
Dashboard owns, especially his older stuff, so shut up. I got two red copies (separately) from Virgil a few months back, and they both had large scuffs on the first two tracks of both sides. So maybe it's an issue with that color? I don't really like the mustard color though, so I guess I should just get it on black. Because I really want it. Unless Hookups96 wants to sell me the test pressing?!
