lovittrecords
Hello, Hopefully your summer has been treating you well. Things at the Lovitt office have been extremely busy and we have a lot of exciting news for you! The Engine Down DVD entitled Beginning to End is now available for pre-order on the website! The official release date is at the end of July but we will start shipping pre-orders the middle of next week and those ordering early will get $2 off. The DVD has over three hours of content including: a documentary shot on the band's last tour, the entire last show, rare and unreleased tracks, the band's home movies, music videos, a photo gallery, and much more! The DVD is packaged in a beautiful DVD digipak printed on 100% recycled board and with a 100% recycled plastic tray. We have posted trailers of the DVD under the media < http://www.lovitt.com/media.php> section of the website so check them out. Pygmy Lush, whose members have cut their teeth in some of Northern Virginia's most influential hardcore bands of the last decade including Pg.99, Majority Rule, Malady, City of Caterpillar and Crestfallen, return with their much anticipated second full-length, Mount Hope. The record was recorded at Godcity by Kurt Ballou and is 12 tracks (10 on the LP) of their quieter songs. You can check out some of the songs on our website or the band's myspace < http://www.myspace.com/pygmylush> page. Like the Engine Down DVD, the official release date is at the end of July but we will also start shipping pre-orders the middle of next week. A lucky pre-order will be randomly picked to receive a test pressing of the vinyl with his/her order! The LP version which comes in two colors (red or clear) is a split release between Lovitt and adagio830 in Germany. If you live in Europe, please order the LP from adagio830. . We are excited to announce that we will be releasing the Auxes full length, Sunshine, in late summer. Auxes is the new project of Dave Laney, guitarist and creative force behind NC/Chicago bands Milemarker and Challenger. Auxes was started by Dave as a solo recording project but has turned into a full band with members from North Carolina and Chicago. The band will be touring Europe and the US throughout the fall and winter. Quieting Syrup (Stephen Howard from Pinebender’s solo project) record, Songs About A Sick Boy, has been mastered and should be out early this fall. You can check out some tracks by visiting his web site . The original Denali lineup will be playing a reunion show on Saturday July 5th @ The National (708 E. Broad St. Richmond, VA). You can buy tickets online at at the National's website. < http://www.thenationalva.com/> Fin Fang Foom recently came back from a European tour with Picore (Spain). The band and Brian would like to thank Picore, Jordi and all those who booked the shows and helped out for the amazing time. People not familiar with Picore should check out their web site < http://www.myspace.com/picorelaposturaperfecta > . Fin Fang Foom are continuing to write new material for their next full length which they hope to record sometime this fall. Ben Davis and The Jetts have been working on some new songs and have some shows planned for the fall. Des Ark have been working on new songs and hopes to record a new full length in the near future. We recently starting selling their first full length, Loose Lips Sink Ships and the live on WXDU, v. 2 CD in our web store . They will be doing a short tour starting this weekend. We will be bringing back some out of print vinyl in the near future . Be on the lookout for more news on that front soon.
