I started this collection a few years ago when they were really popular, but not as huge as they are now. Once Hidden World dropped the prices have gone through the roof and I'm glad I got the majority of my collection before that. That being said, there are a few $65+ LPs in there and I dropped quite a bit on those 7"s /30. I think starting a collection now would be pretty expensive, but just go for it. kyle
Typically I'd think it's really nerdy but for some reason that Fucked Up collection is amazing. I guess I shouldn't be that shocked, because you can still buy LPs and reel to reel cassettes, but I am actually pretty surprised that a band can still get 8 tracks made. They just have nothing going for it. They lack the audiophile qualities of R2R and LPs, the convenience of CDs, the compactness of cassettes. I just don't see why anybody would make the damn things nowadays.
teganandsara
because that is what Fucked Up do.
kyle
because that is what Fucked Up do. When I said I don't see why anybody would make them nowadays I didn't mean bands I meant manufacturers. I can't see there being much demand for them.

derbsauce
I say don't bother...they're already way to deep to start. If you lived in Toronto you might have a better chance of getting new rare...show-only type stuff they like to do.
deafmx
8 track because it's a FUCKED UP thing to do to collectors that collection looks mighty fine though, make me want to start listening to them. i've barely heard any of their stuff. They tour Europe a lot and I know at least two of their 7"s /30 are from European shows.
adamlikesmusic
Is any pressing info known for the Year Of The Pig 7"'s? I bought 3 different ones at Amoeba last week.
